You might want to check with BELL on recommended life span for your helmet, I believe most have a life span of 5 years from mfg date, which should be on a sticker inside your helmet, best to check with who made it. That is a nice looking helmet though!Still rocking my old Bell Qualifier Command. Not a fantastic helmet, but love the look. It's been enough years now that I should probably replace it.

Been there, done that. In 71 and again in 81. A helmet and face shield saved me both times. Still riding and wouldn't even think about putting the kickstand up without a helmet on. You just have to ask yourself what your head & face is worth to you.45-50 mph crash. your face, do as you wish. But look at my helmet below... also resulted in a fractured wrist and a concussion. Jacket an gloves saved me as well. 1st crash i ever had after 26 yrs of riding. If you think its safe, jump out of a moving car at 25mph see how well you do. yes, that's yellow center line transferred onto the face shield. I have go pro vid of this crash if anyone would like to see what a 'low speed' crash can do. .02
Good morning I'm Tim I'm new. I am still waiting for my 125 but I am a proactive person and I am accumulating all my safety gear. I've read through this thread and I believe that I am going to go with a modular helmet. I actually like the look of the Milwaukee brand ones not Ultra expensive but look to be reasonable quality. I live in North Carolina so we have pretty much both ends of the weather we could have days where when you come out at 4 in the morning it's already in the 90s or we have days that are single digit so I'm accumulating gear that can either be transformed for one or the other or getting what's necessary for either temperature

How does the weight feel compared to your previous options?Well I done did it I went and got myself a scorpion EXO modular helmet. It is staggeringly comfortable I feel like this was a very good choice
The helmet itself has a good feel to it it is not terribly heavy by any definition. I rather like it. It has the modular drop down visor the jaw flips up to air it out and overall I find it to be quite a good helmet. Obviously I haven't tested it properly as I have not fallen down hard enough to need it LOL but I hope that that test continues to remain unfulfilledHow does the weight feel compared to your previous options?
I had a helmet picture similar to this from my second prang, it went with the first that had a huge crack over the very top after I high sided trying not to hit a truck (I failed). Both times had I not worn a helmet I'd be a late cubtestdummy (seeing to origin of the user name yet?). I'm still living with the consequences of the first accident on a daily basis. So when I bought the Cub I also bought my first Shoei helmet (Ex-Zero), Oxford armoured jacket, armoured riding jeans and some very sturdy yet stylish boots. If I'm on the Cub or the Hunter I'm in all the gear.45-50 mph crash. your face, do as you wish. But look at my helmet below... also resulted in a fractured wrist and a concussion. I would like to see the crash. How did you get a concussion with a helmet on? I would expect the helmet to prevent that. I had a car pull out in front of me,my helmet made a huge dent in his driver door, bike went under car, I was a passenger and my helmet hit the drivers helmet when his helmet hit the curb. Both crashes without helmet would of been rough on my head and face.I had a helmet picture similar to this from my second prang, it went with the first that had a huge crack over the very top after I high sided trying not to hit a truck (I failed). You absolutely CAN get concussed when wearing a helmet. I've always been a ATGATT guy. I highsided wearing a Shoei, bunch of injuries and a hospital visit later, I spent the better part of a day repeatedly asking my wife the same 4 questions, Docs told her I'd come right and not to panic. Sure enough at some point my brain rebooted (mostly ). The helmet stopped my head from getting caved in but the EPS liner can only do so much to stop the spongy brain matter from sloshing against the inside the skull during an impact.I would like to see the crash.
