Ive been on a wait list (#4 &#5) in Las Vegas for two since the beginning of the month. My dealer says that I can expect to wait up to a year, with hopes that it would be sooner… but really couldn’t say much else. The fact that there has yet to be an announcement makes me nervous 😬 🤞🤞😬….. Here’s to hoping we are all romping around the hills on these babies sooner than later.

Which dealer? I'm also wait listed in Vegas.

Now i'm really glad I asked. I put a deposit at Carter on July 28, and was told I was #1 on the list. If I hear anything from them (they've been VERY quiet) I'll be sure to send you a message. And of course, if you end up getting both of yours before I do, then I'll have Many Questions(TM) for them.

Got mine in randomly last week after a few months of waiting- made for a perfect Christmas present! The dealer got a shipment of two, and I was the only one in line to my knowledge, so if you're in the general area Tread&Track Motorsports in Klamath Falls may still have one on hand.

When did you place your order? I know this is a strange statement to make without context, but there should be a bunch of people in Washington and Oregon that received their bikes either last week or the week before.

EDIT: I'm expecting that we will see a bunch of people in Idaho with bikes popping up too, and if you're waitlisted in position 1 in UT or NV after that it could be very exciting.

It would have been in early September I put the deposit on it; at the time they knew both were on the way but had no accurate estimates on ship dates.

Nice, small world! My sister and her Family live in Klamath Falls, they have a couple of 4x4's from that shop, I'll have to let them know about the trail 125's too.

Hey Animadversor, thanks for the tip on the Honda 125 for sale in Klamath Falls. I just bought it. I can't believe it. It's a little drive to pick it up, but at my local Honda dealer I was #19 on a waiting list of 34 people, and that's after giving them a deposit in November 2020.

Thanks again,
Andrew

If you've got a deposit down and you're waiting, what news have you heard? I need to contact my dealer, he had no info except that they weren't even able to order the bike until 10/15, so I have no clue when mine is arriving. I'm going to shoot an email and see if I can't get an update.
Just got word that mine shipped to the dealer on Monday. I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited. Childhood dream fulfilled!!

I'm happy for you and know how you feel. I was #2 on a waiting list at a dealer about 50 miles away for four months. Kept getting the "could be a month or six months" answer, so checked all dealers within about 100 miles every few weeks hoping to get lucky. A friendly local dealer checked his computer for me and said one was available at a small place just over 100 miles away that I'd never heard of. I called and couldn't believe my ears when the guy said they had one. I picked it up the next day. That was about 8 months and 1600 miles ago. I still grin and feel lucky every time I ride my LRD.

Honda has yet not posted any news concerning the 2022 Honda Trail 125 model.
It's now Jan 2022.
Can someone wake up Honda Marketing please?

Dealers and Honda PRO SPORTS Division in California have no news about the
2022 model. I was told buy Honda's Customer service that with such a huge
backlog still waiting for the 2021 model, it does not make sense releasing news
about the 2022 model. I disagree. Even if the 2022 model has no changes at all
from the 2021 model, at least, we know that it is continuing.

Demand was off the charts.
My local dealer can sell a container of these.
Honda is not letting him order more than a few.
No news of the 2022 model is adding to a year's wait for the 2021 Trail model
and causing a drop in sales.

Rumors are circulating that the Trail 125 is being discontinued.

Agree with m in sc. They'll also have no problem selling the 2021 leftovers as they come in to the USA. The Honda Navi arriving in the USA in 2022 may also help, it shows that they are still growing and pushing their miniMOTO line in the USA and sending the Navi here suggests they will put some effort into addressing the supply delays.

There's a used CT125 sitting at a dealer at Mega Motorsports in West Plains, MO. It's got some farkles - rear rack mount for a Rotopax, relocated toolbox to the front left, engine guards, front rack, light bar. A buddy just called me from there so it's sitting on the showroom floor. $4900'ish was the listed price. Looks somewhat familiar, like someone on the forum posted a similar mod with the toolbox on the front left... but I can't figure out how to make the search for the site work in that way.

EDIT: 1100 mi on the odometer.

still listed on hondas site, and there's a 22 model in japan. they aren't discontinuing it. US may not be Hondas biggest market for this bike, so that may explain the delay HERE.

I am honestly astounded that anyone is considering that 1) Honda would discontinue the CT125, and 2) not replace it with something equally or more appealing. The CT125 is a long term bet IMO.

The waitlist at almost every dealer I call is nearly 20 deep and they're not taking deposits. If the CT125 is discontinued, the only thing plausible explanation for Honda would be that it's being replaced with a CT150 or something close to that - probably 149cc, which will keep it below the 150cc limitation in some legal statutes internationally that will give it favorable ownership over bikes with slightly larger engines. In terms of consumables, Honda would do well to sell as many of these as they can as the bikes do tend to go though low cost, easy to transport consumables that have a short life. The profit margins on those are good too.

The biggest pain point is and shall probably remain is manufacturing. I haven't been able to verify that 2022 Navi's are manufactured in Mexico but Honda was at least dedicated to that back in late 2020. If they did that AND did the CT big bore version with that same famed Honda reliability, that'd solve most of the present day issues that people have and only add to the popularity. Unfortunately, such things are easier said than done.

It’s been a year since I put my deposit down and at that time, I was 5th on the list.
I was just about to give my dealer a call this week to ask if they have any new info.
But I am happy to report that I got a call today to tell me that my bike just arrived!
Should be picking mine up by the end of this week. I can’t wait. More to come….
