    Hello!

Locking up the front wheel often does not end well. The ABS on my Trail 125 only works above 5 MPH and slower than that is where I’ve had problems. As above, keep riding and you will get better. OFG

    Hello!

Welcome! While either bike will be a good choice the Trail, in my opinion, is better suited for off-road. Really like my ‘24 Trail With its kick starter, center and side stands, front ABS brake. OFG

    Dogs

From the MSF course: When approaching a dog slow down as the dog makes its run at you. Then go WOT to throw off its timing. Have done this several times with success. OFG

    13 tooth front sprocket

Thirteen tooth front sprocket sounds like an improvement to performance especially for hauling 200+ pounds around. But I’m thinking of going up 2 teeth on the rear sprocket instead. Almost same ration change, 2.857 for 40 rear vs 2.923 for 13 front. OFG

UPDATE Bike is in the shop for ... who knows how long

Six months is well beyond what is reasonable. Were it me I would start the replace/refund process. OFG

    My First 3 Mods

Tried the Kemimoto pad, 2 of them actually, and both split. First was replaced under warranty but second suffered the same failure. At 6’ with 32” inseam I naturely sit on the damn bar so made my own pad. The pocket in the pad is shorter than the bar so a lot of stress is on the ends of the pad...

Look what followed me home today !

To each his own. My really bad left knee makes the heal shift welcome. Tried the one spline clockwise position & toe shifting up but didn’t work any better for me. OFG

Look what followed me home today !

Yes that is the OEM shift position - works very well for me. Tried toe up 1 spline and put it back. OFG

    Anybody remove their center-stand?

Center stand is one of the VERY useful things on the Trail125. I use mine almost every day. OFG

    HR Shift shaft support bracket

Yes. With the reduced shift overhang on the JA 65 vs the JA 55 the support would not be of significant benifit. OFG
