About to order a Alaska Leather buttpad, which size?

How is the grip on something like that? Coming from dirt bikes with agressive grip on the seats, I feel like I would be sliding all over the place. Does look cool though.

    Tires Megathread

Doesn't seem likely honestly. I tried the same thing with seat concepts comfort seats, not enough demand for them to justify production

    Diabolus Front Fender

@theazexpedition How is the paint match compared to factory? Is it close or slightly off?

    Powder coated exhaust shield

Will you also match the engine guards and skid plate?

Flood vs Spot LED Light Pod

I found a pod kit I am interested in, so I might order 1 set of flood and 1 of spot beam. They use the same connector and aren't too expensive so I could swap them out. Or just put all 4 on they only draw 20W each.

Flood vs Spot LED Light Pod

@CTExplorer Do you notice with that setup does the Honda headlight seem useless? Seems like it would be overpowered. Which I wouldn't be against lol

Flood vs Spot LED Light Pod

@drjon533i I like uniformity, so that would be a no go. But in theory I think it would probably work really well.

Flood vs Spot LED Light Pod

Another reason I was leaning towards the flood with wide light coverage is because of wildlife. Deer, bear, occasional moose, turkeys, etc

Flood vs Spot LED Light Pod

Debating on going with Spot vs Flood LED Light Pods. I plan on getting 3" pods and mounting them where the front reflectors are (as long as they don't interfer with center rack at full turning lock). Curious as to what you would recommend. I would like something that will help both offroading...

    New Guy

@dmonkey I think you ment to reply to the thread about the top box lol. @JimR Welcome and enjoy the bike! Ride a few hundred miles to break in (roughly 600-800) then see what you want to do with it. There is a ton of information on this forum and lots of nice folks with good information.

    Lithium Ion Battery

@RegularGuy Came across this, but have no idea about quality or anything. Never heard of the brand until now: https://powertexbatteries.com/products/powertex-ytz5s-lifepo4-lithium-iron-phosphate-motorcycle-ptz5s-battery

    Lithium Ion Battery

Old thread but depending on if you use the rear rack or not, you could completely remove it, or remove it and get a skeleton rack. That would save some weight. Other than that, you realistically will only be shedding a few pounds here and there with things like the skid plate, center stand...

    Tariff question

Ended up ordering a different one on eBay. Ill create a new thread once it comes in with initial impression, then once winter is over ill take it for a spin. I have a 600 mile, 3 day trip in mid-May so it will be a good test. It was the last one on eBay, but here is the same one on amazon...

    Tariff question

Yeah it becomes over a $200 seat once you pay for everything. There is one other seat that I am considering that is already in the US and a lot cheaper. Might try it and then report back.

    Options for soft side bags.

https://hondatrail125.com/index.php?threads/new-side-rack.251/ https://hondatrail125.com/index.php?threads/side-rack.2191/#post-23031 There are some side rack options, at least on the left side. Its harder on the right with the exhaust but I do believe there are options out there. Another...

    Mods and Emissions Questions

I know you said you don't want to go big bore kit route, but the early gen JA55 engines have a 181cc Big Bore Kit. The biggest on the JA65 (new gen) is like 143cc. Here is a link to a thread on non - BBK mods...

    Mods and Emissions Questions

@valntyn82 Not sure if you care about the bike being brand new or used, but there is someone on here in Vermont selling a used one for $2900. https://hondatrail125.com/index.php?threads/honda-trail-125-for-sale.3747/ As for the emissions question, really depends on what Vermont does. You could...
