These Members have expressed interest in attending so far, once we have a location set hopefully others will be able to make at least the Saturday ride and dinner.

I was looking at the map. And Cottonwood looks more rural and farther from Phoenix which is a plus for me. So unless members from AZ can suggest better can we list Cottonwood as 1st pick? Thanks Bryan

Additional camping recommend in the area, there are several campgrounds and hotels in the area so everyone should find something that's works for their needs, we can choose a rally point each morning to meet, maybe have breakfast? And decide on the ride for the day. Should be stunning scenery no matter which way we go from the cottonwood area. Please chime in if you have questions or suggestions for the group. Thank you to everyone for your interest and let's make this happen 🥰

It looks like all the RV/trailer sites may already be booked -- I will try and confirm tomorrow, and let folks know if I get clarification (there's a statement on the non-reservation website that the only loop with availability is exclusively for tents).

TheDyrt shows a fair number of camping options nearby. Last time I was in the area, there were alot of first-come, first-serve dispersed options available.

I'm glad you're planning-on joining us, Texan! As you mentioned there is a lot of dispersed camping on BLM lands in the areas around Sedona/Cottonwood/Cornville. However I would recommend not camping off Hwy 89A (the main road between Sedona and Cottonwood) as if there is any rain, the ground out there will quickly turn into slick, wet clay which could cause you to get stuck. I'd recommend camping a few miles away off Beaverhead Flats Road. It's still in the area however spots off Beaverhead Flats Road are generally more rocky and would hold-up better in wet weather. Bonus that I have seen fewer people camping off Beaverhead Flats Road then I have off Hwy 89A.

For those looking for conventional lodging or camping, from what I've seen the farther you get from Sedona, the cheaper (relativly-speaking) food and lodging become. I was last in the area a year ago and noticed that even gas cost more in Sedona then it did just 20 minutes down the road in Cottonwood.

I just checked dead horse, they are completely booked thru march. The closest campground with availability was lost Dutchman. Hotels are available in the area. So what do we think? I can stay in a motel but I will probably only bring 1 bike if I do. We can try to move farther out to get away from the snow birds? As always I'm open to suggestions. I have to say the cottonwood Sedona area is some beautiful riding I think if we can make the accommodation work.

Where there is a will, there is a way!

There are more campgrounds nearby run by the Forest Service, but most of them don't open until 1 May.

What about Alto Pit OHV, on the other side of Prescott? (It looks like overall there's more trails around Cottonwood... but just throwing out an alternate.)

Lo Lo Mai Springs in Cornville (~20 minutes from Cottonwood and Sedona) might have availability. They have a mix of RV, tent and cabins but I'm not sure what they're availability is. They do have a lot of rules but I've stayed there several times and never had a problem there. It is hands-down one of the most scenic places to stay in the area.

I booked an Air BNB in Cottonwood and I may be able to host the Saturday night BBQ (depending on how many people we have) as the place I rented has a large backyard with BBQ, tables and chairs. There are also a lot of nice Hotels in the area as well.

I hope we can get this all sorted-out as this area would be prime for exploring on our Trails! I *might* make a quick trip up there next month to pre-run.

I am flexible with accommodation, ideally I'd bring my 7x14 cargo trailer to Haul bike and camp in, I'm fine with off grid or I can get a motel but due to parking restrictions I'll probably just bring 1 bike. Anyone wishing to attend can stay as far away as needed and Haul the bike to our rally point each day? I'm not making rules btw just offering common sense solutions I hope. I do want to keep the area and time the same if possible. If members want to boondock and know of a place in the area I'd love to park my trailer in the group with them, I feel like it adds security to see a large group parked vs 1 trailer with nobody around.
