I am starting to think that the first batch to arrive in the US was all gray and all in that shipment have now been distributed to dealers. Florida dealers have yet to receive any, same for the East Coast apparently all the way to Maine. Maybe the next shipment will be blues, so now I wonder if the first to show up at Florida dealers will be blue or gray.

As far as I can tell, there is no "DaxBoss" to start a forum similar to what TrailBoss did here. Even though we are in the "other bikes" section, it must be a distraction to the Trail 125 and CT125 guys and I imagine that they are getting tired of us talking about Daxes. I have no idea if the Dax will become as popular as the Trail 125, but probably it won't. I don't think there is a "CubBoss", nor a "MonkeyBoss" either. There is a Dax thread, a Monkey thread and a Cub thread on advrider. Nobody on the Dax thread has a Dax though, and a single thread is not enough anyway. Same for reddit.. I don't do Facebook, so maybe that is where the action is. Also needed is for dmonkey to buy a Dax 125 so that DaxBoss's new forum has technical expertise..

DuPage Honda Yamaha (West Chicago) expect to have a Pearl Gray Dax 125 arrive around Nov 30th. They're going to call me when it arrives and if I'm around I'll go check it out. Right now I'd like one but am not in a rush to buy... will see if sitting on the Dax changes that

Picked mine up today. They said it was the only one they got. Have two more coming in November, but they have 5 deposits for them. Seems like the blue isn't in the first shipment from talking to them. Rode it around the block when I got home, rides like the Monkey. I'm very happy with the little bit I rode.

Congrats! Interesting to see that it uses a standard cut key like the Honda Grom, instead of the "laser cut high security" sidewinder key that the Monkey and Trail 125 use.

I think i might hold off for a year or 2, going to get a DR650S next i think. Trade in the XR150L on it.

Two dealers near me have at least one of the Gery ones in-stock (HB Honda and So.Cal. Powersports). The sales guy I spoke with today says that they are supposed to be getting a blue one in with their next shipment, but it's already sold. He told me the next two shipments they are scheduled to receive are in mid-November and Mid-January. This is a non-powersports Dealer, but a Dealer which seems to move a lot of Honda's.

I put a deposit down today for a Blue one. There is one person ahead of me on the list who has dibs on the Blue one which is coming in their November Shipment so I'm first on the list for the next one which should arrive in mid-January. However he said if I decide to take a Grey one I can have one this week. I'm on the fence as I like both colors but think the Blue would be cool since I have a '61 Honda C110 which is Blue.

OTD Price at the Dealer I put a deposit down with today was $5,500.Same price Blue or Grey. Did this all with a phone call and a Credit Card. I may stop-by later this week to see how the Grey looks in-person.

My bike showed up today. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to get to pick it up until Tuesday. Sounds like they are getting a blue one at the beginning of December.

Does OTD in California include title, sales tax, and registration? If so, than that is a pretty good price. A lot less than at the Powerhouse dealers in Florida, and only slightly more than at the regular dealers in Florida. We have no info on when the blues are coming here.. still only the Powerhouse dealers have Dax 125s, and everything so far all over the USA has been gray. The regular dealers near me are each expecting one gray each near the end of November.

I just barely missed buying the grey one at SoCal. Ended up getting a trail

Yes, that price was for everything. I was expecting it to be $500-1,000 more. In fact I'd set aside an hour or so to call around to all the dealers in my area which showed a Dax in-stock to see who had the best deal, but the first one I called gave me that quote, took a deposit over the phone and left me another 55 minutes free to annoy my cat.

This is not at a Powerhouse dealership. The salesman I dealt with seemed pretty knowledgeable. I wish I didn't have to wait until mid-January to get a Blue one but I think in the long-run the wait will be worth it.

Nice! Someone on ADV Rider posted some pics of the Grey one, it looks nice but I'm holding-out for a Blue one.

Congrats on getting a Trail from them! At least one other member on this site bought his Trail there as well. I pass by there twice a week and keep meaning to stop-in and see what they have.

I ended up buying from Del Amo. They reached out to me first via online quote. I really liked the grey. I was told they had several deposits already and another Dax probably wouldn’t be available until January. I got an extra $400 off the trail because Malcolm Smith in Riverside is a having a discount on theirs.

That OTD price is really good. The trail I got ended up being higher even with the discount! ADM added like 50% to MSRP

yea California is easily the worst state to buy a new bike especially a trail, there isnt a dealer in the entire state that doesn't charge a markup now that the one in grass valley burned down. despicable dealer practices there.

That's crazy! I guess it goes to show these bikes are still popular and selling if they're asking for that much of an ADM!

The good news is these bikes seem to last nearly forever and don't seem to depreciate much.
