What a ride. 4000 miles in 8 days. I skipped one bonus point on Day 5 that was down a dirt road cuz my gut said "don't do that one today", and I'm good with that. Hit all the other bonus points and checkpoints. Finished out in 3rd place for 125 class and 36th overall. My only goal was to make it to the end with myself and the bike intact. Goal Achieved! Now the bike needs some good maintenance when I get it home end of this week. KMC O-Ring chain held up until the very end, after many days of WOT on long stretches of 70mph HWYs. Already have a new one ready to go on it. I ran the IRC GP5 tires; first rear last 3 days. Second rear lasted me to the finish, it's ready to go though. I think the chip and seal roads did the most wear to the tire. Burned oil the 2 days riding in Texas. It gets damn hot, never had the warning light come on. The 125 kicked ass in the dirt, gravel, rain, and was fun through all the twisties. In New Mexico I hit my top speed record of 70mph, and then I hit the rev limiter.

Massive thanks to @Kev250R for the registration transfer. I had a blast man.

Extremely grateful to @BaldRider for the support vehicle and advice. Also to his wife for driving the support vehicle; it's a lot of miles to drive and can be just as daunting. Appreciate you both so much and I honestly could not have done this without your help.

I am still decompressing.

Would I do it again?
Yes... just not on my Trail 125. It got enough of a beating getting me through this Cannonball.

You are so welcome! I'm stoked that you had a such a great ride and a great time! My plan is to participate in some other shorter scooter rides and see how that goes before I attempt the Grand-Daddy of all the Scooter Rides! My hat is off to you and Bald Rider!
