I've seen the same thing for cyclists with axle mounted lights (on a 700c rando bike, that puts the light at around 14" above the ground). Casts nice long shadows with those tree roots ripping up the trails, which is definitely something the helmet mounted light misses. The other downside of the helmet lights that I've observed but never done myself is when someone's looking at something interesting without realizing that they've literally cast a spotlight on it - not so bad if it's a deer or some other hazard, but if it's a nice ass or into someone's car, can be a bit of a problem. The draw for me is that I know it's a cheap option that doesn't rule out vehicle lights, so it could end up being a por qué no los dos moment.

EDIT: What makes me think the jaw mounted light will be ok is that you already have a headlight mounted at waist height, so you have the spatially separated light sources going for you already.

With the way the fender lift kit works, I wonder if you could add an attachment at that point and get what you're seeking that way. As someone with a 3D printer, I often think "Hmm, maybe a custom mount could work" as a possibility for testing tons of things, but realistically that just looks like the right kind of zip ties and double sided tape to me.

Wow! 47 mph on a unicycle has to be blast for sure.
It's... something else. The second biggest problem is that the failure mode for EUC's is to throw you face first into the pavement for any sort of inconvenience, except where you're trying to brake too hard, in which case it'll throw you ass first into the pavement. I'm using a downhill MTB full face helmet not a moto helmet, but I am dressed in motorcycle gear while on it, with additional knee and wrist protection and I've already got a hole all the way through my jacket from where the motherboard failed and I slid down the road at 35 mph. The form factor is excellent but it's a mode of transportation I plan to be rid of once I get the CT125 for most of my trips because it really is that dangerous. When a motorcycle is the safer option, you question lots of things.

EDIT: Biggest problem is no mechanical brakes. There's no way to stop fast. You can emergency brake, but it's kinda like emergency braking only using your rear brake.

having ridden a lot of (old) bikes with weak lighting in the past, ive had great luck with using a bright led mountain bike light, and a good one, affixed to the bike itself. not the forks, they bounce too much. helmet, issues at any type of speed. bars, frame always the best option IMHO.
