I put 143 cc big bore kit along with exhaust upgrade,150 injector, less restrictive air filter. I hooked rubber part of snorkel before rack as I was going to wash/wax the RED ROCKET. I realized I forgot to unhook and lay to inside of back rack. After riding a few miles I realized it,and unhooked again. There was a difference. I am looking at 12 volt high volume fans to feed intake as well as to cool motor on Amazon. I KNOW this shit is simple, but I was not paying attention after 5th grade. SLO gotta kinda excited! Yeah Man! The technology is already in it,they will take that away when we figure that out.. SMILE !

Where did you buy the kit from?

yeah. 'the pen' ran an open filter like that w no efi mods.. (had the injector though) and blew it up w out going to an ecm swap. would strongly recommend not opening up the intake or pseudo boost until you get your fuel management sorted 1st.

Yes, I ran a pod filter , and the stock piston swelled up , do not recommend
I gapped the rings a few thousands bigger than ten thousandths on top two rings.I believe the coating on rings was why it was too tight when I checked them from mfr before installed.

yeah. thats not going to help an over expanding piston skirt due to being too lean from the heat and wiping out the piston, and probably the bore.

I was joking. I will upgrade to a different bike. I need to improve riding skills first,as I don't need any more speed on this bike. I will keep an I on plug to see if it starts to run lean as well as check engine temp after running it wide open with infrared thermometer. I know they can be inaccurate, but will compensate for difference. I still don't see the harm in adding Marvel Mystery after break in.I would like to know what is an acceptable high temp for head after running wide open throttle. As far as running wide open only plan to when have to between back roads. Maybe a mile or two every now and then. I probably average 35 mph or less most of time as roads will not allow any more than that safely. Perfect bike for where I ride, but it is nice not to have to be looking back ALL the time.

YUMINASHI DIRECT sales website states that the upgrade will have no issues 143 cc with 238 cam if exhaust is upgraded as well as they restriction in air box, along with a 140 cc injector.I am not sure if the tube in air box is what they referred to ,but I removed it. I un hooked return to air box,and plugged hole,as well as putting in line fuel filter on end of tube from crankcase. Only smoke in exhaust was on start up, used Lucas oil stabilizer as assembly lube. I am not sure but I think they recommend 20 W/50 W synthetic oil after break in to help heat removal? I will keep an eye on plug, and temp.

And Ben also said, that beer is proof that GOD loves MAN. I am sure that what they consumed was much better than what is available at any store! The stock piston was fine when I did the swap. I had done all the mods except cam and 143 cc big bore thousands of miles ago. Also was revving the shit out of it with 13 tooth front sprocket. What kind of oil were you running?

you may be fine as the ecm tuning is super lame on this bike.. .. you may not. I saw plenty of grom motors go boom as well with big bores and exhaust and no real efi tuning early on, back in 15 and 16. good luck w it, thats all i have to say.
