Glacier Point used be one of my favorite mid week rides back in the day when I was stuck in the city. Done mostly on a R100RS or K75S, it was two hours from Fresno. Had warranty work required on the K75 and the dealer loaned me a R100GS shortly after it was introduced. Instead of picking up my bike I wrote a check for a Bumblebee and the dealer had a buyer waiting for the K75. With the GS there were a lot of interesting options, the Dinky Creek area Mntnmike mentioned in another thread being one of them so my Glacier Point runs diminished. The Trail has rekindled my relationship with the Sierras, it's the perfect companion for adventure.

Hey neighbor, I am in Gardnerville, do you think the 125s could make it up to Virginia City from the Carson side
Dude! So sorry for the delay!

Are you talking about taking it on the public road? State route 341? Yes - it will make it. Not quickly though. I'm 170 lbs and the bike does it at about 25-30 mph. I'll normally turn off and take the 'truck route' just because it's lower stress.

I take mine up Spooner and into SLT at least twice a week. So it'll climb that, but again, slowly. Anything uphill doesn't happen quickly.

Damn! I used to live in SLT and wondered if the CT could make it up Spooner. I doubted it. That’s awesome!

haha no problem, and yes, and yes. I am also 170 so that's perfect, I did not think of the truck route, thats a great idea, thank you. I want to take a trip over there and of course go during Street Vibes.

Ya, I believe the kingsbury grade would not be doable, but I think I will try the markleeville side near 50 using side streets, maybe haha I hope

Have you taken it up/down Kings Canyon for a Spooner Loop?
not yet, I only have had it for a year in which I also had my first baby so its been hectic haha and prior my trail 90 wasn't capable of doing anything on road outside town. But now I am getting ready to do more with it this year. I am hoping to take it to Virginia city or Tahoe the week after valentines day since I have the week off work.
