I made a brief YouTube video which includes some info I gleaned from this forum and utilized to make a nice mod to my bikes lighting. I hope this is in the right place and allowed, here's a link. The description in the video gives the information I had some issues finding in order to make the relay function off the high beam switch.

I'm happy to offer any guidance if you need any help making something like this work for your bike. I really wish Honda had done better on the headlight. See the before and after pics for an idea of the improvement you can get with a single lamp.

I've got a set of C1's that are ready to install.

Here's where (for dummies resounds with me) I'm a little stuck - I want them to be on whenever the bike & headlight is on - ALWAYS.

I bought a three-legged wiring harness from Eastern Beaver to power these lights & my SAE plug for battery tender / heated vest (and one extra, just in case). The Eastern Beaver thing has two ring terminals for the battery and a trigger wire that fires the relay (here's where the issue comes in).

I'm going to install one of these chargers in the dash hole and was thinking that I would use a positap w/ the trigger wire tapping into that VS the OE bike wiring harness (don't like messing with the OE wires if I can avoid it).

Does this seem like it would work as expected?

I really wish I was as technically competent as others on here. Had to resort to some LED bicycle lights that wrap around the mirror stalks. Seem to last all day on their internal batteries - actually, I think I’m just a lazy incompetent cheapskate

Wow, I move in exalted circles it seems. I wonder if F1 cars are allowed to have external lights fitted on the circuit?
None that I know of. They're only allowed rear lights, like you see in wet weather conditions.

Another tip for anyone thinking about doing aux lights:

I thought I was going to be clever and use the front reflector mounts for the C1's. Wrong. If you turn the bars toward full lock the lights hit the "crash bars" and deflect.
I'm now mounting them in the lowest of the three headlight bracket holes.

Thought I would throw in my 2 cents on aux lighting. The stock headlight leaves much to be desired EH. I opted for a set of 3 inch auxbeam driving lights off Amazon and mounted them above my headlight. Added another set of auxbeam fog lights to the engine guard. Ran a number twelve wire from the battery (fused at 20 amps at the battery) to common on a 30 amp relay I installed in the headlight bucket. Ran N/O contact from relay back down the frame and powered up a 4 mini blade car fuse/fuse holder. I read somewhere on here the Canadian JA65 had this "AUX" wire? that is switched on with the key switch. Sure enough The "AUX"? wires were in my headlight bucket. AUX picks up my rely. From there I used fused CCT_1 (5 amp) to power up my USB charger. Fused CCT_2 (5 amp) to power up my clock/voltmeter/ambient temp meter. And Fused CCT_3 (15 amp) feeds a pair of illuminated toggle switches mounted to the handlebars which in turn feed the auxbeam driving and auxbeam fog lights. The Auxbeam 3 inch driving lights throw significantly more light than the stock headlight. On coming traffic started flashing there high beams at me when I tuned my driving lights on. Funny thing was it was in the middle of the day and it was sunny out. Off road at night the lights are amazing. Anyway here is a few picks of my setup.

I used rigid brand mini LEDs, mounted to the lights to the reflector brackets (no interference) and they work of a handlebar switch that is triggered off of a key-switched relay installed under the battery cover. GPS is also keyed to the relay. Right (ditch) side is a flood, left is a spot light. Nothing works when the key is off. Whole system minus the cost of the gps and lights themselves was less than $20
