On my very first few rides on the hardtop I quickly noticed a wonky bounce coming from the front end. Took the front tire in to be checked out under warranty. The dealer service department had to use a truing balancer due to the small axle size. The tire came back with five weights with a '5' on them. Service dept said they were going to bill Honda for it. 800 miles later I was getting new tires on a different bike and had been noticing the rear area of my Trail125 seemed wonky too so I brought the rear tire along. The rear tire ended up with three '5' weights. This time I was told Honda advised them since this was considered an off road bike the tires do not come balanced. Therefore the balancing would not be covered under warranty. I have since watched a very informative video on You Tube by Vegas Romaniac where he highlights the difference a balanced off-road tire can make. Lastly the proof was in the ride. My Trail125 rides much much smoother on the hardtop now with both tires balanced. I realize if your just doing off-road no need, but any long jaunts on the hardtop in-between might be worth it. I would also think a balanced tire would last longer and be a bit safer handling wise? Just sharing.Screenshot_20210413-202652_Video Player.jpg20210413_232727.jpg

That's good to hear. At least this size tire is cheap. Glad your problem is solved. I had just put new Avon av54 on my Yamaha XT250. They are balanced and are more bouncy than the Trail125 ever was. Ugh 😪.

Unbalanced tires can ruin the way a bike feels and rides on and off-road. I have my own cheapo balancing frame that's been doing a great job for years.

As for some moron at Honda saying that the CT125 is considered an "off-road bike" and therefore the warranty...blah, blah, blah. He's FOS. It's legally an on road motorized cycle, requiring it to meet all requirements as such...including vehicle registration for on-road use nationally. Even the Honda website lists the bike under the "street" side of their website and gives it a 1 year warranty. I cant freakin stand idiots who screw customers. Rant over.

That would be a cool comparison. I hopped on one at the dealership while I waited to see if its seat was anymore comfy than the Trail. Did not seem so. I think they packed both seats with the same old phone books 📚 . I know thats off topic butt had to share.
