I have a big ant collapsible crate to fasten to my rack. What are you folks using between the milk crate and the rack to protect the rack and reduce vibration?

I just have mine zip-tied down tight (right to to the rack) , I haven't noticed any vibration or noise from it. However I haven't really used it much, been having a lot of trouble with my hips lately, and find it almost impossible to get on/off the bike when it is in the up-right (un-collapsed) position .

Mine is just directly on the rack with zip ties. if i beat up the paint too much i guess i'll bedline the rack or something.

I drilled holes in the crate to match the threaded bolt holes in the rack, and then just used I think it was 1” socket head bolts with big fender washers. It doesn’t rattle at all and if I need to remove it, I already have the Allen wrench in the tool kit to take it off. Works great!
