There's a thread that's been going on and off for a while on bike names:

Mine is plated "POSTIE," in homage to the CT110 Australian Post "postie" delivery bikes.

doesnt matter what bob thinks, or me, But, i get his point to a degree as well.

A few of my bikes have been named. I don't sit there everytime i get one and ponder 'what are we going to call this' that's ridiculous IMHO, having the 'need' to do so. I think thats the point.
For example, my 62 falcon that ive owned for 14 years.. is still 'the falcon' and that's because, that's what it is. the trail is the trail. but others were given nicknames by others and they stuck. for example, my 70 R5 is referred to as 'barney' because i've had so many other bikes like it or similar, i don't expect everyone to remember year make and model...it was referred to as the 'barney purple one?' by others, then just shortened to 'barney' and it stuck. but its referred to mostly as the '70 r5'

to the point, heres the folder the pics/info are in.

i mean ya'll call them whatever you want, but forcing a name on it to 'give it a personality' is kinda weird.. but that's also your call. Don't expect others to call your trail by that name.. lol.

i have others that were given nicknames for various reasons, again by others, but its usually for recognition out of all the others.

I haven't named any of my vehicles, just wanted a place for discourse for people to explain what, if they named their bike, and why.
I get that. like said, ive had others named:

WBOD from my wife (white bike of death) on my RD special. I crashed on it and when i hit the ground the phone dialed and the wife heard the whole thing in real time on VM. woops.

The Frog, which was a green and white reeded H1 that was way over the top. was a play on the french guy i got it from and a list of 'to do's that starter with 'it aint easy being green' (kawasaki /kermit reference) and i had 2 at the time, so if i said 'h1' it could have been either

Lightweight RD : because its 130+ lbs lighter than a stock one. not really a name, a designation.

'estate wagon' referring to an RD i had with every bolt on accessory that was around from the 70s. my friends kept calling it the family truckster but changed to estate wagon. I did lean into that one.

'clifford' the big red kawi. naked cafe c10 2000 concours, but again, had 2 at the time so that was the differential designation, again, referred to by others so i just gave in. (started as a parts bike for the other one)

so out of the current 16, 2 have designation names. ;)
