Doesn't look like I'm going to make this ride. But hope to join you all on future rides.

Getting a mc carrier that should help me expand my riding area.

Ride safe
Thanks for the heads up, much appreciated. I think I am going to take Lecanto Highway south along the west edge of Withlacoochee State Forest to 98, and then to Ridge Manor and then to Richloam on 50 instead of going through Inverness an Floral City.

I am waiting on delivery of a carrier for my car. The specs regarding tongue, and overall weight capacity looks good. My thought is I'll spend less time going to and from on faster boring roads, and allow more time for trail riding. Should eliminate dark and rainy rides home as well.

Curious if others are doing the same.

Flabound, I hear you. My 2013 Transit Connect van can easily hold a Trail 125 or a Super Cub 125, and perhaps two Monkey 125s. I have had two Sprees in there and two SA50s are an easy fit as well. I live 50 miles from Richloam and will enjoy the ride down there on the Trail 125, so I am leaving my van at home. The weather looks like it will be great Saturday. It will be nearly freezing 60 degrees F for the ride from home to Richloam, so I will be wearing a winter parka for that part of the ride. For the ride in Richloam itself, I think it will be a comfortable 78 degrees F. I enjoy the highway rides as well as the trail rides. I did make an exception for my ride to Key West. Took the Van to Homestead, and the Trail 125 from Homestead to Key West.

Looking at the list so far, in Central Florida we have:
FL352rider Clermont
mysticbus Daytona
Blacknsilver Apopka
interex87 Orlando
Quadjeeper Winter Springs
vintagegarage Crystal River

It's a long way from Daytona to Crystal River, Looks like there is some hope for Clermont/Apopka/Orlando/Winter Spring though. We still haven't heard from anyone in the Tampa area on this thread.

Crypticvoyager, that is great news! We are now up to five for the ride in Richloam. Other than the Richloam store, there is no food in Richloam itself. Everyone should either buy food at the Richloam store before the ride to bring along or bring lunch from home for a trail lunch stop around noon. There is also no gasoline stations anywhere in Richloam Wildlife Management Area.

Crypticvoyager 2023 Honda Trail 125

I plan to meet up with Crypticvoyager and his friend in Inverness and have a three man ride from Inverness to Richloam. I think Cameradean and I will both be making YouTube videos on the ride. I am looking forward to seeing everyone's Trails. We have a pretty good mix of about everything.

I don't know.. The guys who started this thread are long gone, so they can't edit the title of this thread. A new title with the date time and place would get more visibility in the forum, but I think everyone on the forum knows about this thread, so starting a new thread may not bring in more eyes. What do you think? I think the best chance of getting more riders is getting Trail 125 people on Facebook to join this forum, by pointing them to either this topic or a new one specific to November 4. It would be great if someone with a Facebook account post the link to this forum topic on the Facebook Page for Local Riders Mini Moto 34668:

That page is not very active, but claims to have 30 members..
Are we still goin to Richloam tomorrow???? Dean here.

I’m on the way running about 30 minutes late. Had to stop and put oil in the truck. See you all in a bit

Here is the video from the ride to Richloam last weekend. In it, you will meet JS45, Cameradean, and Crypticvoyager. You also see how "Old and Slow" manifests itself as I was holding everyone up in the sandy parts. None of us had been been on Trail 6 before, and I was surprised by the deep sand there. Much worse than the sand at Withlacoochee State Forest in Inverness, which I thought was pretty bad.
