Check engine light/fuel injector warning on

I brought my Dax to SD for a month from NM and higher elevation. This morning I started it and my check engine fuel injector light is on, bike ran rough for a few minutes after starting then smoothed out and is running normally now but my light is still on. So is it elevation change? Bad gas? Satanic influence? Or just needs a reset? Thanks guys.

If you have the service manual it should have instructions for checking for diagnostic trouble codes. I would be curious to find out what triggered it before resetting it.

Here's a video on how to reset it:

its satan. or just a basic 'mis fire' code.

just disconnect battery. let sit for 5 mins or so and then reconnect see if it goes away. more than likely it will. (if its a 'soft' code). if it doesnt go away, then pull the codes.

If it's anything like the CT125, which it probably is since they have the same gauge, then when you connect an SCS jumper (or a paperclip) and power the bike on, the check engine light (Honda calls it a Malfunction Indicator Lamp) will flash in a pattern for each stored diagnostic trouble code. The codes are listed in the service manual for decoding the flashes.

Next time I promise.

Instead of turning off my CT125 engine with the key, I'd developed the habit of leaving in gear and dropping the side stand.
OK, unless you then also do not turn off the key - as within a few hours, the battery is flat.

Kick-started fine, but carried a CEL for an hour or so ride.
Battery charged fine, and started engine many times for a few days, but CEL stayed lit... so, I purchased a reset thingy:

To access the reset process - as per the above vid - you need to remove battery cover, and I thought I should just trickle charge the battery before I did anything as it was just there.
After two hours on the intelligent charger, the battery was reported as full, engine started perfectly as expected, and CEL went off; no need for any reset process.

Assume the battery discharge, and a mismatch in generated to carried voltage triggered, then kept the CEL illuminated.
Either way, no CEL, no reset needed.

Thanks too for the tips and comments here...
