I ordered the pack out base and box, I think it will look good on the red bike and I’ll see how it works out. Added a pic from yesterday ride.
How did you attach this crate? The bottom is solid. I suppose you could make a template and drill holes to match the mounting holes in carrier. I think you could then mount a small or large toolbox on top of the crate.

Well i ordered the crate with that base, it attaches to the base. I need to mount the base. I see it has not even shipped yet, so anyway I’ll be utilizing the four 6mmx1 attach points there in the rack. The box I plan on putting four holes in the bottom so when I’m not using the rack, I can toss the box on if needed. My Giant Ant crates are working out great, but I wanted the Milwaukee setup for when I’m hunting flint and fossils. I’ll have installation pics when I get this stuff in.

I looked at the system at my local hardware store. The way they mount together is clever. Slides into grooves and there is a push pin that locks it in. I wouldnt trust it on the ct125. Seems like it would be prone to poping out. I think i would drill holes in bottom of crate and bolt it on. I would add the toolbox dry storage for camping. Clip it into the crate and then strap it down. I could see it go flying off if not tied down.

I’ll take a look at it when it eventually gets here, mods and fabrication i like to do. Keeping those two pieces together should not be too difficult. Another forum member used magnets, I’ll be looking at his design, as I like using magnets for projects if they can be utilized.

This is what i went with this evening. Used the two center mounting holes. Marked location on crate. Drilled 7/32 holes. Used two pan head slotted m6-1.00x25 bolts, two fender washers. Put gripper pads on the high points on the bottom of crate. Thought about grinding them off but tried the pads instead.

I’m putting this one on my red Trail, and the OD green box I had been using on the 2022 will go on my green one. So they will both have color coordination. Big Ant crates large and medium come in real handy and they will be used as needed. Gonna put a backrest on the red box, that will be priceless for long rides. Do you know if they make a lid for the open crate?
