Day ride to try out new gear.

I got out and did 80 miles of dirt roads this morning to test out the new box and some new gear. I found an old logging trail along the river and followed it up to a rocky cedar glade, it was the perfect place to have lunch and rest up. Man I love this Little Red donkey!

Good eye, yeah it's an AR7, I've replaced it with a Ruger MKII competition target pistol though, the pistol takes up less room and is far more accurate and reliable.

I have one of those in Marlin. However, I just built a takedown Ruger 1022 with a Volquartsen barrel. Really an excellent travel hunting rifle. Unfortunately, in Cali we are required to hunt with copper ammo....means only 1 round available.

The Volquartsen Ruger 10/22 is a good choice, sorry the jerks have limited your ammo choice though., that sucks.

22 are fun...I have several Volquartsen modded 10/22s and MkII...my latest is a modded SW22 Victory pistol
