From over a year since its announcement, being on my local Honda dealership’s waitlist since November, and adding my name to a Honda dealership advertising at a demolition derby (over an hour away from my house in Detroit), I got their call three weeks later AND picked up my Trail 125 on Saturday!!

Gonna be great! My Grom likes the new roommate.

I only got to ride it 8 miles so far because of rain and work, but I am wondering if anyone’s had luck removing the left handlebar’s end? I’ll probably clamp visegrips on and try, but if it’s a no go for bar-end mirrors then I don’t want to destroy the plastic end; I turned the screw, but it turns the whole bar.

Thanks everyone, looking forward to the modifying!

Congrats. I had to wait about four months and was getting very anxious, so I can only imagine how you must feel. Hope you're ready for all the smiling you'll be doing. Happy trails.

Look at the videos on bar end weight removal. There is a lock friction ring holding them in. You need to release that to remove easily. I went with the extended arm black mirrors. They look great and should have come stock. I think us round eyes are a little two big for the target audience of this bike, some of us being 100lbs to heavy and also too wide?.....🤣 My nephews who are Korean fit just right.

16 miles later, I disassembled most of her, painted everything Toyota Quicksand and black, and added 20 new parts⚡️

Coming up will be a paint-matched Pelican cooler, center rack, black engine covers, exhaust guard, a Moriwaki exhaust, possible pinstriping, and who knows what else…I’m looking forward to hitting any terrain!

Looks great in quicksand. I think you missed a spot under the seat 😛

I really like the idea of the handlebar pad mounted to the rear rack grab handle.

I didn’t paint the top of the tank because I know I’ll drip gas on the paint and it works with the red highlights.
Yeah it’s a quick $10 tailbone saver; just gotta scratch out a bit of the foam.

Everything is torqued🙌and the only thing missing (I’m blaming my puppy) is my lower exhaust bolt is no where to be found…

Looks amazing! Where did you get the bar end mirror? I need to put one on my bike.

That is awesome. Question to you. As someone who is relatively ok mechanically, but not super awesome, how difficult is it to disassemble it for paint?

I'm not the Captain, but I've done a decent amount of disassembly on this bike. This bike is pretty easy to work on. Many of the panels pop off easily. The biggest thing is if you're pulling the plastic panels, there's a few tabs that are easily snapped off. Make sure you watch a few youtube videos if you can. My biggest recommendation is any time you're removing panels, start with the battery cover first, even if the videos say you don't need to. Just trust me on that one, it'll make life easier and it's such an easy panel to remove and reinstall after the fact.

The only things I haven't removed that are painted are the rear tray, rear fender, front fender and the fuel tank.
