For the front fender it needs a little squeeze to remove it from between the forks if you aren't taking the forks off at the same time. Having scratched mine up a bit doing that, I'd recommend wrapping it in some protective material like tape or plastic wrap if you want to avoid scratching it.

I'm not the Captain, but I've done a decent amount of disassembly on this bike. This bike is pretty easy to work on. Many of the panels pop off easily. The biggest thing is if you're pulling the plastic panels, there's a few tabs that are easily snapped off. Make sure you watch a few youtube videos if you can. My biggest recommendation is any time you're removing panels, start with the battery cover first, even if the videos say you don't need to. Just trust me on that one, it'll make life easier and it's such an easy panel to remove and reinstall after the fact.

The only things I haven't removed that are painted are the rear tray, rear fender, front fender and the fuel tank.
Thanks for the tips!

Appreciate the tip. I probably would've done the same thing if I had not read your post.

I removed the fender yesterday to install the lift kit. Following your advice, I put masking tape on the support brackets of the fender, and squeezed them firmly to remove them from the forks. I don't know if you removed the front brake caliper, but I did that as well to avoid banging things up on the way off. Not a scratch when it was all done. But you get the credit for that. Thanks again.
