Manual lists CPR6EA-9 as standard and the CPR7EA-9 for extended high speed riding. I probably never ride where I could ride WOT for more than a minute or two at most, very rarely. I would guess I am in the throttle half of the time at best, with lots of idle speed coasting. Plug never ashed over, not an ignition issue, starts immediately.

With the efie installed, does it indicate any variance that you can observe? such as change in afr, or voltage changes. Open air box and see if it has an effect while vary speeds. Check plug after a few minutes. I am just curious. If I am correct, the ECU will try and keep a constant difference between the O2 sensor and the intake,or MAF or is it a MAP sensor. when one differs from the designed DELTA T. What is the result if the O2 sensor goes low/high. Same , check what happens when the MAF is colder,or hotter on intake? It was designed to meet emission standards. Not knowing what,or how to do for DIY fix to the BS the give us,I am sure there is a simple fix. The only mods for the future will include a premium chain and sprockets.

im not sure what exactly you are asking, but the simple explanation regarding the efie is that it fools the ecm onto thinking the bike is running leaner than it is, then tells the ecm to add fuel by modifying the signal coming from the 02 sensor. its that simple. the map sensor just relays air density, ironically, the non semi automatic bikes don't have it as of 2021 models.

also, see below regarding heat range on plugs. Im running an 8, and the color looks perfect.

Give it more air than stock configuration allowed and it will run hotter. If the fuel injector swap is done ,the ECU will tell it to,and it will provide more fuel to cool it. ???

the ecu will still target 14-14.5 regardless of what you do w out a fuel controller of some sort. if the ecm is targeting a richer afr with afuel controller, it should be fine. Im running a (much) larger intake, bigger throttle body, and its fine. the bigger injector keeps the duty cycle in the optimum range.

OK, it doesn't know that you changed the injector though,if so, how? I am not sure what is causing mine to run rich, but I have a plug waiting at Oreilly's and will look at the one that is in there tomorrow. I wonder if hooking up the battery incorrectly had anything to do with it.

its going to geta reading for the 02 sensor and trim back the injector signal until it reaches the desired afr. thats just how simple EFI works.

@SLO for what it’s worth, I installed the EFIE along with the 143. So you’re still the only one on here with no fuel mod (besides larger injector). Next time you get a chance, could you pull your plug and take a picture?
I took of picture of plug today. Don't know how to post, can send email to ???. Says here attach file? I sent email from phone to myself. Trying now, we will see.I will try later. Got stuff gotta get to. I will get it to you guys/gals soon. It tells the tale, running rich, then burned all the crap of prong, rest of it black. I was running the shit out of it ,but can't do it all the time/not enough straight road in front of me,and if I planned to go over 50 mph for more than a couple miles at a time I would be on another bike, but like I said, not that kind of riding around here, nor do I want to. I believe it is fine, since I remember winding the shit out of it last time. Good for it now and then to burn the carbon out of it.
