Is there a way to brighten the display on my 125 trail?
Best go for an OPMID speedo, the meter has 5 brightness settings 1 to 5 where 5 is very bright, I have found that 4 is about right for here in the UK.
Agreed they are not cheep at around £250 but you do get a rev counter and gear position indicator which I have found useful.

I use 4/5 brightness on mine too, because I was having trouble reading the stock display, particularly in sunlight. The installation process is fairly straightforward and it's one of my favorite mods. FWIW, it's worth doing the USB power mod at the same time if you decide to do it since you have to pull the headlight out to get to the cluster.

has anyone reached out to tripage? hes been modding gauges for years and does an awesome job. Im in the minority and like the stock gauge, but this guy (tristan i think his name is) is very good at this. https://tripageled.com/store/index.php?route=product/category&path=108
I'm with you on this, yes the opmid gives more options but it also gives more issues to deal with as it's not strictly plug and play also I believe some users have experienced problems long term.

Keep the stocker! When you are restoring it in 15-20 years you will wish you had…. I left the warning stickers on mine 😳

I just did, will let you guys know what I find out... I don't dislike the OEM, but I would really like a gear indicator, and the ability to actually read it in general is paramount. Hopefully he will provide the community with a super sweet mod. Turns out he is just an hour or so from me... so if he needs to touch the entire bike, I can do it no issue.
