Hi everyone, I got a text from my Honda dealer letting me know they had a Honda Trail 125 in stock if I wanted it and I went in straight away and picked it up.

When I purchased a Super Cub last year I mentioned I wanted a Trail too but they were un-obtanium. They got delivery on three Trails and thought of me.

It appears to need far less accessories than the Cub did, I'm just looking for some kind of storage to put on the tail rack. Trying to decide between a trunk, a bag or a crate. I found this forum while looking for ideas.

Thanks,
Duggle

Welcome! You'll find plenty of options documented here. Some considerations for the storage choice might be the size, ease of removal and mounting, if you want it to be weather sealed, if you want it to lock, and your budget. A plastic milk crate, rectangle milk crate, or collapsible crate (GreenMade InstaCrate as one example) are a great inexpensive place to start, and with some use you might come up with a better idea of if they meet your needs or what your needs actually are. I got a ride to the dealership to pick mine up and I brought a milk crate, cargo net, zip ties, riding gear, and backpack to ride the bike home. It was quick to mount the milk crate in the parking lot, put the important paperwork in the backpack, put the backpack in the milk crate, and then throw a cargo net over it all for the ride home.

You think ahead better than I do. I had to stick the paperwork folder down the back of my pants. Other than that the ride home was an excellent experience.

IMO, the crate is an excellent choice even if not a final choice. I'm using it to prototype my final solution by bolting and tying things to it to see whether it works or not, e.g. rotopax mounted in certain locations, space behind the rider, etc. I can always use it to store stuff, and later on since I got one that's strong enough, it can help me do the spinner cleanout. I know I can sit on it well too.

Well, I went the plastic crate (milk crate) route. Plastic bags for weather protection on very short rides from store. Otherwise just enjoy the bike!

Greetings to you and welcome to the forum
I picked up a Apache 3600 from harber freight.. It's the smaller one, not to big so you can get your leg over it, without being Bruse Lee.. lol
