Got most everything finished up on my new ride. Had to relocate my newly modded Reflex WS to fit behind the front basket. Also added a tach, shift indicator, LOUD dual horns, center rack and bag, shift shaft support and folding shifter, USB/voltmeter, hidden power outlet, GPS tracker, and a few other things. After break in I'll add the 3.00 244's that I have already and most likely my 13 tooth front sprocket.125 dash.jpg125 horns.jpg125 shift support.jpg125 folding shift lever.jpg125 center rack and bag.jpg125 frt.jpg

... I don't remember having to remove the countersprocket cover for the shift support install, but I did have to drop the footpegs subframe.

Also this is the first time I'm noticing it but there's a bridging brace across both of the engine guards on the 2023 model that my 2021 model (red) doesn't have. Will that make it harder to do a valve check?

I had the cover off to access the gear selector sensor. I did everything at the same time to make it easier. Not sure about the brace but the bars come off pretty easy I'd say.

Nice upgrades! So what's the deal on the shift support. What's going on that we need to add this item?
Well I had an experience years ago on another bike where I hit a stump with the shifter and it bent the shift shaft requiring the cases be split and the shaft and other parts to be replaced. And I have read that really all bikes share this weakness and since the support is offered I figured it is cheap insurance. If the bike is used only on the street, most likely would be overkill to add it.

On the CT125 the general consensus is the shift support helps prevent missed shifts. There's quite a lot of flex in these shifters. I have one installed on my bike and I definitely felt the difference right away. If you're not missing shifts, there's no real benefit to installing it.
