There are 4 predrilled and tapped holes in the luggage rack. Are they for something specific?

I realize that, but were they put there for some specific reason. Does Honda have something that will bolt right on there?

They most likely put them there for aftermarket attachments such as top cases and milk crates, knowing from prior Trail and Cub models that is how they get used. I don't think any of the aftermarket passenger seat options utilize those mounting holes.
