Honda Dax 125 ST125

Thanks Kev, anyone have experience with a 12in on and off road tire for the Dax or grom or monkey? I plan on a lot of dirt roads with short pavement sections on a ride I'm thinking about.

I put on the Kenda 130/70 big block tires on both front and rear. I just paid the dealer $200 to do it rather than screw with it myself. They are tubeless. It's a little tight on the front but I tried the high fender and it just flung mud all over me so I put the stock fender back on. I think the stock fender will work fine as long as a big rock doesn't get up in there or it doesn't get packed with mud. They grip pretty good in the dirt and mud, much better than stock of course.

I left Yankton SD at 9am yesterday, drove to Storm lake IA to pick up Dax, left around 12 heading to Deming and just pulled into rv park a few minutes ago, btw the 24 tacoma is a nice truck but my tundra is more comfortable for long trips, the couple naps I had last night was a little cramped, but the Dax is in NM , also if your looking for a 24 trail for a great price? And live near Deming? And can wait until Feb for delivery? I bought a new trail and left it at the dealership, price was 3899 otd, they have 1 more left at that price, I'm going back last week of January to pick up mine with my cargo trailer and will load and bring yours to NM for pickup, no cost. Contact the dealership or me if interested.

Congrats! What a drive! I have a '20 Tacoma and can attest that it's not super-comfortable after four hours or so on the road. Longest drive I've done in it is ~8 hours on the highway stopping only once for gas and food and can attest that it wasn't as comfortable as my Silverado or my GF's Highlander.

1st ride, took it nice and slow didn't get out of 2nd gear. Noticeably different than the trail both in response and proportions. Gear shifter seems smaller also footpegs, long seat is nice change. Really need to get some knobbys to deal with the loose sand and gravel here. I really like it, remind me a little of riding the 22 Navi I had.

I think my Dax has a little Mexican Chihuahua in it, definitely need to put some shinko mobbers on it stock tires won't move in deep sand, need some shocks for my 250 pound ass and a longer sidestand with bigger foot. Also can anyone recommend the type decal I can put on the bike that stays on? I desperately want a slowpoke Rodriguez sticker for it if anyone can hook me up I'd appreciate it. Fun ride today btw. Wish all you guys were here

4" might be a little big depending on where you want to put it on a Dax, but you'll find other sizes and designs listed by other eBay sellers.
Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol before applying and it should stick well.

Lots of riding here, cheap camping to bring an rv or rent a cabin for 35 per night. I'm picking up my trail the end of Jan so I can go both ways, giggidty. Lots of members close enough to make the trip as well. However if you remember the beginning of my cdt trip last yr and what a cluster that was, maybe you or someone else better do the planning

LOL Well some of the best trips begin with a speed bump! I had hoped to make it out that way last spring then didn't. If I can make it out there in early 2025 (before it gets hot) I'll let you know!

Here is the latest "Old and Slow". While the video is Dax oriented, it also illustrates why the H2C front rack for the Trail 125 is much better than the Honda JDM/USA OEM front rack for the Trail 125. Unless you plan to use the windshield with the small front rack, the H2C front rack for the Trail 125 provides for much more room, is OEM quality and doesn't have the unused windshield mounting plates that look stupid if you don't use them. Same for the Dax rear rack. The H2C provides more room and is just as high quality as the JDM/USA OEM chrome rear carrier. Plus black is best when all the rest of the stuff is black, such as the saddlebag mount.

I agree, the chrome rear carrier and black saddlebag rack don't mix well aesthetically. It looks much better paired with the black H2C rear carrier.

Cub House posted some photos of G-Craft Dax accessories yesterday and one that caught my eye is that they are now offering the G-Craft fold away handlebars in black. Previously I had seen them listed as a Monkey 125 accessory, and I only found them in chrome. Unless you were really going for a chrome theme, I think they suit the modern bike better in black and if someone is interested in having the Dax as a small footprint bike for storage or transport, the classic feature of folding the handlebars out of the way certainly has some appeal.

It seems like Cub House has lost interest in their web site, and pretty much now only uses Facebook. But then I think the web site must be up, but I just can't get to it. I have tried several browsers, but something is blocking access. Since Cub House puts a link to their web site in that Facebook page, they must think the web site is up. Fortunately, the Facebook site is public, so I can see some of it. Maybe I need to use a VPN to say I am in Thailand. Anyone have the answer to accessing the link that is referenced by the Facebook page?:

That has been an annoyance for me as well. I'd really like to see all the Thai market accessories that Cub House are advertising for the mini motos, and poke at the OEM parts catalog. I have tried (and just now tried again) connecting to https://www.thaihonda.co.th/ and https://pec.thaihonda.co.th/ from a VPN server in Thailand to no avail. The DNS resolves but the connection to their webserver is refused.

I reached out to Cub House on Facebook about this back on October 10th, and this was their response:

Hello! Due to an update on the website, we are currently unable to display information temporarily. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If there are any updates regarding the website, the admin will announce them on the page later. Thank you!

I've just followed up and offered them the typical IT runbook for addressing the issue. I'm not sure if the joke landed.

I like those fold away handlebars, especially since I'm toying with the idea of storing my Dax with my Camper in the summer months, however I wonder what the long-term effects of having the front brake Master Cylinder upside down (when the bars are folded-down) will be?
