New Shinko mobbers arrived today, 120 front and 130 back, very aggressive looking tread, I'm currently sitting in SD so it will be a few weeks before I get back to Deming to mount them. Bought these from Revzilla.com free 2 day shipping with my membership.

I put on the Kenda 130/70 big block tires on both front and rear. I just paid the dealer $200 to do it rather than screw with it myself. They are tubeless. It's a little tight on the front but I tried the high fender and it just flung mud all over me so I put the stock fender back on. I think the stock fender will work fine as long as a big rock doesn't get up in there or it doesn't get packed with mud. They grip pretty good in the dirt and mud, much better than stock of course.

Matt
How is the clearance on the front fender? I have a shinko mobber 120/70 12 and the lugs look huge, k8nda worried about clearance issues on front.

yeah, not good, i can assure you of that. even a short time you are asking for trouble.

So what's a good work around? Can the cylinder be loosened and spun in the lower position? I was looking at installing the bars also.

sure you can do that. but... what a huge pain in the ass. lol.

if i were to ever do something like that, id fit M6 studs and thumb screws on the master. https://www.amazon.com/Antrader-Cla...ocphy=9010685&hvtargid=pla-2300733510122&th=1

I mean, try it w out doing anything, maybe it will be ok, but i sure wouldnt grab the brake lever with it down.
Thanks, btw you are formally invited to the members ride in Mar, I will personally reimburse you up to 12 dollars in travel expenses if you can make it. Should be a lot of fun and we can put to rest those nasty rumors I started about you being AI generated and not actually human🤣 serious though you should come.

This is the eBay listing I got the Slowpoke Rodriguez sticker for my Trail 125 from:

4" might be a little big depending on where you want to put it on a Dax, but you'll find other sizes and designs listed by other eBay sellers.
Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol before applying and it should stick well.

Thanks again for sharing the information, I offset the sticker on the trail to get all his tail on the fender, the Dax was fine. Love me some Slowpoke Rodriguez, wait Jose wait I forget to tell you something, Slowpoke Rodriguez, he pack a gun!

I found that the latest Dax color announced earlier in 2024 is Pearl Shining Black

This is shown on the Honda Japan page:

But not on the CUB House Thailand page:

Or the Honda UK page:

Personally I haven't been a fan of new models coming to market exclusively in black for the USA, while they're sold with different color options in other markets, such as the Transalp and NX500 (updated CB500X). However, I think the Dax looks great in Pearl Shining Black. Now that I've written that, watch as the Batcycle streak ends 😂
