Three oil changes coming up, Super Cub 600 mile and 100 mile on the CTs.
£10.00 for an oil filter is a tad steep but equal to a black americano and a sausage bagel. However, £5.07 for an O ring???
Fuck me Honda!
I'm curious what others are paying in the UK, is this comparable or is this the local dealer up to their usual tricks?

For what it's worth, Honda's recommended maintenance schedule for the CT125 has the first filter change at 8,000 miles for the 2023 JA65. So their schedule is first oil change at 600 miles, second oil change at 4,000 miles, 3rd oil change (with filter) at 8,000 miles. If you're riding the bike hard or in dirty conditions you might want to do it more frequently, or if you're just looking for peace of mind that's fine and won't hurt anything other than your wallet.

With the part numbers you may be able to do some price shopping online to get a better deal on the filter and o-ring. Unless the o-ring is damaged you should be able to re-use it a few times. It would be a good idea to rub some oil on it each time.

The o-ring part number listed there is a more expensive one. There is a cheaper one with same dimensions listed for the CT125. No idea what the difference is but "91302-K0G-911" is what's in all the 2023 CT125 parts catalogs I've found.

This initial oil change is a 50/100 miles peace of mind affair. The engine has had a good swill round and I just want to dump the oil out with any accumulated crap and detritus plus pop in a gold plug.
I can see my Hunter getting ridden fairly hard whereas I can't see my partner putting that many miles on here in the short term.

The Cub is getting the scheduled change according to Honda plus the gold plug.
