I've been so lazy on this. I'm committing to doing it today. Thanks for the reminder.

Done and done. My throttle had a poop ton of play as well. Thanks for posting!

Sidenote, the small ridges in the stock grips are approximately 2 mm. So if you get it to rotate one ridge’s width it will be right at the minimum.

OOPS.
I installed Foam Grips.
But by using trial and error, I adjusted the throttle and got to the minimum setting.
Results
It's wicked easier to swerve now.
Offset cone weave is also easier.
Reaching speed approaching curves is easier and then slowing down before the curve
and maintain speed whilst looking through the turn is still hard though.

My low speed maneuvering is improving.
The "little red donkey" still jerks a lot in first.

U turn inside of 20 feet is not always successful, I am turning my head but
not fully turning the handlebars sometimes. Sometimes turning hard left,
I put a foot down because I think that I am falling.

Turning figure 8s inside of two 9 foot parking spaces.
Actually scraping the foot pegs sometimes practicing figure 8s.
Without the cones it is easier.

Road Skills test is scheduled for 20 September. (gulp.)
