Changed the tires myself today. Never changed motorcycle tires, but I have changed more bicycle tires than I could ever count!

They are tougher than a bicycle tire for sure, I had two 8" motion pro levers that helped a lot. The hardest part was probably the last 6' of the last side of each new tire going on. In retrospect, and little soapy water would have probably helped tons.
But here they are!
I went with the Kenda K262's because they are speed rated to 92 mph and they were about 36 bucks each. Re-used my tubes.

Do you want my old tires, I'll give em away free, just pay shipping. They have 500 miles on them.

They are fine on the road, a bit of a howl compared to stock though, but pretty smooth. Haven't tried them off road yet.

a ridge overlooking Lake Guntersville, AL.
Stock tires are not good for any wet muddy slope conditions as I found out yesterday. I tried going up the little trail down the bluff from my house after a night of rain and found myself sliding down it backwards when I stopped halfway up. Had to step off and lay the bike down on the right side and took a knee and ass plant due to the rearward momentum. Rear wheel just spun and cut the grass/weeds away and left a Alabama red mud streak like you have seen in your whitey tightees at least once in your life.... :ROFLMAO:. Went up the same dry trail two weeks ago no problem, but I didn't stop. Stood it up, restarted and ran it up the remaining way (10 yrds) dismounted until I got off the real steep part and remounted. Reminded me why I sold Suzuki DR650 and go one of these. Was way easier to pickup for my 73 year old body. Was about to pass the 2nd green tree on the right when I decided to stop.... bad idea!HT125slope.jpg

Congratulations on getting those tires changed. Soapy water or a little WD-40 does the trick. I have the same size and type of tires on my CT. Makes a noticeable difference.
