These are much less expensive than other crash bars I've seen.; just under $100 on Amazon and easy to install. I imagine it'll bend easy when the motorcycle falls on it, but I'd happily sacrifice $100.
Or should I bite the bullet and spend $250 on more substantial bars?

IMO, pay more and buy something with better reviews. Search APK2EALK00502BL, 684-1470100, or 0SS-ZH-11611900 and you will find the Kitaco version of add-on crash bars like that which are an OEM accessory sold through Honda for the bike in Thailand and Japan. https://hondago-bikegear.jp/shop/g/g0SS-ZH-11611900-23YMCT125/

Or go with more substantial crash bars that replace the OEM engine brush guards. Be aware that the JA55 and JA65 brush guards have a different attachment design at the top, so you'll need to buy ones specific to your generation of CT125.

Thank you! Mine is 2023 (green), I'm sure it makes it JA65. I went to the page you linked to, but i can't figure out how to place an order. Must be me.

You're right, that makes it a JA65.

That Honda Japan website is just listing their official accessories, not selling them directly. Here is that crash guard for sale on Webike (but temporarily out of stock)

I want to order one, but I'm still a bit confused, this being my first order from them. You've linked to two Kitaco crash bars,
Product #684-1470100
Product #APK2EALK00502BL
They look very similar, maybe aside from hardware. Are they the same thing, or different?
Also, importantly, there's an option Buy and Ship from Webike Thailand . Which purchase option is recommended, Webike Japan or Webike Thailand? Thanks a lot!

One has a Kitaco part number, the other has a Thai Honda part number. I don't know if they're the same item just with different numbers or not, but there are black and chrome variations.

Personally, I would price out each option with shipping, factor in current tarrif rates for Japan vs Thailand, and then also shop around and see if you can find them listed elsewhere for as there are other vendors who carry Kitaco parts and may have it.

Excellent, many thanks! I ordered this push guard from Webike Japan, because they had one in stock, and it's supposed to ship tomorrow. Just checked, and they are listed out of stock, so I got the last one till they replenish their supply.
Just four days ago the tariff rate from Japan was cut from 27% to 14% and currently the exchange rate is excellent for the USD. PayPal’s conversion rate is 1.0000 USD = 140.929 JPY. Last year it was 1.0000 USD = 115.485 JPY.
Anyhow, I paid $186.56, including Fedex. The tariff will be calculated upon arrival here. Will pitch back in once I have it on the motorcycle. Thanks again!

Reporting back. Shipping from Webike Japan took only 3 days (Fedex). Product was installed by me and my son yesterday. I'm impressed with the quality of the welds - not a single sharp edge; included hardware appears to be top-notch.
This is the crash bar we installed,

Push Guard

Product #684-1470100

There was NO TARIFF collected.

No tariff collected??? I’ve been wanting to order the gear indicator from them but the website makes the whole tariff thing seem expensive and uncertain.
