I'm looking at the Mid-Atlantic BDR segments. For the most part, they are right around 100miles or so each. Does anybody have input as to how long any given segment would take to ride on average? I'm trying to determine how much would make sense to bite off in any given day. I know my limits when riding on-road but not so much when traversing something like the MABDR.

For reference, MABDR map:

A couple years ago I rode sections 1-5 of MABDR on a RX3 (250cc dual sport). I think you can do at least 2 sections each day if you get started in the morning...not mid day like we did on Section 1. When we rode it was raining most of the time. That translated into snot slick mud on the forest service roads and some 'interesting' water crossings...about a dozen of those. We found commercial lodging each night so no camping. I'd strongly recommend knobby tires for this trip. If the weather is good you won't really need the knobs but if it rains you'l be happy to have that extra traction.
