Hi all,
Not sure if it was just me, but even though I love the Milwaukee Packout system, the main base plate was terrible, especially on the back of the CT. It was so wide and really did not suit the look of the bike. So this got me 🤔.
Quick search on the puternet and I could not find anyone doing making , supplying what I was looking for.
In the end reached out to a few companies that do custom Milwaukee mounts etc. I only heard back from one (https://www.jdscustoms.com). Few emails back and forth explaining what I was looking for.

Ladies and Gentlemen boys and girls I give you

The Center mount only base for the “full size” Milwaukee Packouts.

As you can see it looks so so much better. But wait there is more 😊
I asked if I can get a discount of some sort off products as I came up with the idea and nobody else was making it.

You can use save10 at the checkout and get 10% off your whole order (I get nothing out of this, I even paid for my own mount, I just wanted to help everyone else out)

One thing I have noticed (super easy fix) as the base plate is a lot thinner now, the crate / Packout does rattle while going over bumps etc. I am just going to stick some rubber or something down to solve this.

what does everyone think?

How does it fit if you were to rotate it 90 degrees so that the crate didn't stick out on the sides?
Good question and I had a Quick Look, technically it would work, however the issue would be the mounting of it. Nothing really lines up nicely with the bolt holes. The easiest way would be to drill holes into the Honda rack, or maybe mount a “base board” of some sort (1/2 inch plywood type thing) on the Honda rack, then counter sink some bolts that face up that line up to the holes on the JDS mount. If I was to do it that’s probably the way I would go, rather than drilling holes into the Honda rack.

I've actually done exactly what you're referring to with the main packout plate. I'm currently using ACB and was switching to a HDPE cutting board when I saw this post. ACB was kind of a pain in the arse to work with but it did work and held up for many miles.

To be honest for $60, this is a great upgrade. A cutting board of that size is $37, ACB was also pretty cheap, so you're not really saving that much money and you need to do post-processing work. I used rubber mounts to stop mine from rattling, although it's started rattling again and I think that's the adapter mount failing. One thing I do like about the packout plate... even though it's wider, the additional tie down points mean I'm not rubbing (more) paint off my rack when I tie stuff to the back.
