I installed the handlebar risers today, it just took a few minutes. I will be unable to use the grab bar I purchased from Beez, so I'll be putting it up for sale in the next day or so. I think I'll start installing the shocks tomorrow.

I don’t think risers are that specific that you need to get them from beez…. Hopefully you had them as part of a bigger order??

I didn't get the risers from Beez. I got them from Amazon. The grab bar came from Beez.

I installed the YSS shocks and Motolord fender thingy. I had a bit of a problem realigning the exhaust pipe after fitting the right side shock. I wound up dropping the whole pipe and refitting it. I probably didn't have to. I thought the flange went all the way to the cylinder. It does not. A good lesson in taking a picture or two to remember what it looked like when you started.

Before I installed the shocks, I set them to be a little on the hard side. If I ever get to do the riding I'd like to do, there will be some weight on the back. I'll get a chance to ride next week, after my work trip.

Another mod I'm interested in, sadly being on the heavier side some stiffer springs are probably the right call until I can lose some weight.

Love this bike build! And the Ranger is badass too.

Which fender riser did you use? I bought the beez one, but didn't realize its not meant for wide tires. Any issues?

m in sc said that a couple of pieces of pvc pipe would accomplish what your new fork caps will do, but, I have to say, they sure look fantastic! I really like the red anodizing. I’ll be anxious for a ride report. More than one owner has tried the YSS kit and returned to stock springs, keeping only the YSS caps. The Chimera/ Steady Garage caps (or pvc) should be a cost effective alternative.

Nope. No issues. Be sure to relocate your horn. I used the Beez riser.

That's not my Ranger. It is badass, though.

There's only been one issue I've seen with the lift kit out of all the riders. SomeGuyRides who rode the TAT on his, aka beating the ever living crap out of the bike more than most of us will ever do, had ding on his fender right where that cross brace is. Without a close inspection I would suspect the non-relocated horn to be the culprit, but it looked way more like a bottomed out suspension smacking the fender against the bar.

EDIT:
Here's the shot of the ding.

Here's him talking about it. The horn will do it if you don't relocate it, but it sounds like his dent is indeed from bottoming out the suspension with the fender raised too high.

I can't find any info on how folks have relocated their horns. Is there a bracket I need to buy or can I just flip the stock bracket the other way?

I had some extra space on my center rack that I just couldn't let go to waste. I had a Wolfman Tincup Pocket from another project. So I got out the zip ties and went to work. I figure I can put my wallet and things like that inside, then just take it with me when I go in somewhere. It's velcroed to the base.

Gotta admit, I like that implementation a lot. I've done a lot of looking at accessories (I am the sort of person who will only buy it if I am convinced my complete solution will work), and that's one of the cleaner setups. I'd worry a bit about longevity of the velcro, like how it will fare in a few years of use, but I bet they'd sell you just that part / replace it for free if you asked them.

One other place that comes to mind is the front rack over the headlight. Is there anything obstructing the mount points if you were to put it there?

I didn't consider the front rack, as I already have it in use with tire repair stuff. The Tincup Pocket fit that space on the center rack perfectly. If the velcro stops holding the case, I'll buy another base.
