This is the Grand Daddy of my MC 'Fleet'. It's a 1961 Honda Super Sports Cub 50 :)

I've had it since the early '90's. It was my first road-legal vehicle. A neighbor of my parents gave it to me as payment for cleaning-out their garage one weekend when I was 14 or 15. It's pretty much all original, has never been rebuilt and runs pretty well when I take it out for a ride around my neighborhood.

Future plans for it include more rides around the neighborhood, lending the bike and my early '60's Datstun truck to a friend for a photo shoot and in-general being a conversation piece for visitors in my garage. A few years ago I'd planned on draining the fluids out of it and putting it in my Living Room on display. The girl in my life vetoed that idea ("no MC's in the house!") and my guy friends also nixed the idea since they enjoy bombing around on it from time-to-time. My only regret is the picture I thought I had of it parked side-by-side with a Grom I used to have is MIA.

Thanks! I almost bought a CB350 a few years ago, but at the time in my area the prices people were getting for them were crazy! Plus a lot of them had been made into Cafe Racers which I don't mind buy many were basically just hack jobs.

Man I like that. I never had a vintage mini Honda, my first bike (30+ yrs ago) was a clapped out 81 CB750C. that things bitchin.

the 2nd bike i had was actually a 72? CL350, was a good bike, painfully slow but fairly reliable. I did lock it up though, then it got stolen. lol. thats a whole other story.

Thanks! Last Sunday I actually pulled it out of the garage and took it for a quick ride around the neighborhood. I think it had been longer than six months since I'd last started or ridden it (both tires were flat).

Fresh air in the tires and three kicks(!) later I was off puttering around. The next time I'm doing maintence on the other bikes it's going to get an oil change.
