from sitting 20+? years to a runner and.. we (i) even briefly rode it yesterday. lots of wiring repairs, ultrasonic carb, ignition testing, cleaning of connectors, etc. the tank still needs to be cleaned, and lined. tires, need to be replaced etc. basically.. every service thing ever. But, its solid and it runs really well. he got this last weekend for 600 bucks out of Georgia. I was going to pick up another YL1 but that fell thru so we focused on his.

this things a damn riot. However, I can absolutely blow holes in most 'we got a barn find and started using it 2 days later' reality youtube videos. This bike is nowhere ready to be used but its a good assessment starting point, and a relatively easy one. it has 2000 original miles.

if you know what you're doing, carbs are actually pretty easy. ultrasonic and carb cleaner in it (75% gunk/25% wd40).

one thing a lot would miss is the resistor int he plug cap this is supposed to be 5k ohm.

we just replaced the cap, but this is pretty normal after time.

well it was 44 outside so no mosquitos lol. we had the door shut till we fired it off, I have a really good heater in there was 77 before we opened it up. its gong to be a fun little bike for Matt, the frame looks almost identical to my 67 100 yamaha, which is wild, especially since there's a 10 year design gap.
