ive had more bikes in there but, I believe I had a Sportster, a CB1100, a CB00f and a Yamaha wr250r at one time but the wife complained about the small car we had. So Isolda the 2 that I used the less. In hindsight I think I should’ve kept the 2014 CB1100. I miss the smoothness of that bike.

I’ve owned more bikes than I can remember but the VStrom and this Honda are probably my last two. Im on the downhill slide as far as bikes go.

Sold one of the two CT125 Trails I had to a friend in Oklahoma who couldn't find one there. Bought a Honda CB500X as a between the Trail and the Harley. Still putting mods on to get it more off road. Got to do a skid-plate, hand-guards and a center stand, maybe some luggage racks? Nice bike but as hard to find as the CT125s. A friend of mine who rode mine wants one now but I could only find two actually on the floor at shops and they where in Tucson Az and somewhere in Utah. The CB500X is a good mid-range adventure bike, not dirt/trail bike. Did over 100 miles of gravel roads in the Smokies two weeks ago when I went and did the Tail of the Dragon with it. Tree of Shame was interesting. Lots of stuff from crashed motorcycles and sports cars that had bad luck or bad skills or just underestimated the over 100 plus curves in 11 miles.

There's a woman who (last I checked) was doing a nice little roadtrip long distance on a CB500X. They're almost a perfect package to me, I tend to favor slightly smaller displacements but for that much bike it's a really nice all round package. Her channel is As the Magpie Flies. It's got a very different feel to the normal moto channels, very real, very humble, and a nice slice of life from her. She also seems to have somewhat regular bad days mentally, which is something I appreciate her sharing with us, rather than sort of glossing over and making it seem like everything always goes right even when it's going wrong.

I'm just 68, but I like riding a lot. I've not been without a bike since 1967. This is my current stable. They add up to 147 years of age and about 500,000 miles.
