Looked like a fun ride. Ari posted an Instagram story of what the CT90's piston looked like after the trip and it was carbon caked and had a lot of skirt wear and signs of overheating. Who knows how much of that was already there before the trip though. I'm sure they'll refresh it a bit and it will be ready for another half century of riding.

So, I just watched it and a great show. I like it for a few reasons, the pic below is my 1975 w 3100 original miles and my 125. They ran what they had, didn’t sweat magnetic drain plugs or shift supports…. Filled the old one w rotella and carried a bottle.
In pretty much all cases these bikes will run forever, basic maintenance and my 90 is currently running like a champ. I’m going to change the 125 oil in 300 more at 600.
They looked like and are a great time!!

Good point. Though their luggage setup was lacking. Nothing that couldn't have been solved with more straps and cargo nets.

My idea of a dream trip, except I would like to start in Key West and go up through Alberta. But alas there is today's traffic. At 73 I do not have a death wish.

I'd like to know how the guy on the 125 got panniers on both sides of the bike. That was a great video.

I have the same punch kit from harbor freight, all the tools he used were hf also! Since Sears is gone and no lowes in our town their good tools aren’t too bad…

Yeah, they have another video on the cheap maintenance toolkit they put together from Harbor Freight, which is what was paired down for the trip:
HF tools are usually a good cheap start and then you can decide from experience what higher quality tools you may want to invest in. One thing I will not cheap out on is hex keys, too easy to strip a bolt with one that's not a good fit, and they're higher torque than screws.

Since refreshing the CT90 they posted a daily rider review of it with some good points about the low speed fun and toy-ish handling.

Completely agree on the tools, I usually get rarely used stuff from them that i will use once every 2+ years, reverse torx sockets for the Navion, Giant crescent wrenches for hitch balls, the punch set, etc...

Hello All, Graduated from a Monkey to the trail. I am well past you all's ages but its a dream that I can make happen without a support crew I hope. What are some basic provision that you brought along? What are some of the attachments that you found worked and did not work? Charging station? Phone or gps holder? Tents. I have found the gas tank. Saddle bags, & ? Do you need rain gear? I found on a trip from san Juans to cape cod I need good riding pants, and a good jacket. 2 underwear, 3 socks, 2 t shirts, sunglass's, hat , small sleeping bag. Not sure on tent? what are some other thoughts? spare tire?
