Well I’m at a little over 5,000 miles and my rear tire is within 500 miles or so of being shot. I was hoping for more but honestly I don’t think I’ve ever had a motorcycle that got any more. I’m having trouble finding the oem tires although I did find a used one from a buddy that I’m going to throw on to finish the front out as it still looks great. Anyone getting way more miles out of the IRC rear?

OEM front tire: TIRE, FR. (80/90-17M/C 44P) (IRC) 44711-K88-B02
OEM rear tire: TIRE, RR. (80/90-17 M/C 50P) (IRC) 42711-K2E-T01

In the past they have at times been on long backorder, but Partzilla lists the front as ships in 2 to 3 days right now, and the rear as in stock.

At 5k miles I think you got your money's worth out of that tire. The last rear OEM tire I wore all the way through was bald at 4k miles.

My OEM rear tire will never make 5K. I have just under 3K and the tread at the tire center is almost gone. The front however seems almost new my comparison.
I bought 2 of these PaoWin 2.75-17(70/100-17) and will replace the rear OEM tire with one, and continue to run the OEM front. I may end up replacing both if this setup doesn't work out handling wise.

I tried revzilla they didn’t show anything. I found an almost new used one that should last the remainder of the front. I think the front as a good 3-4000 left. My rear might make it another 500 or so. I’m not used to getting 5k out of a rear on anything.

Great info. I guess some other styles and brands are the same for both front and rear? When I replace both I’d like to have a set that’s a little better for off road. Not straight off road though.

Yep, tires like the Shinko SR241, SR244, IRC GP-1, and the block pattern trials tires are not directional and the tread pattern is the same facing either direction.
