I recently installed the opmid gauge tac i got everything to work but the gear indicator it will tell me neutral but no other gear and it won’t display the rpm. Is there a wire I need to check or maybe a setting I overlooked ?

Not sure what you might be missing, but you could reach out to the vendor that sold it to you, or if you get nowhere with that and have a YouTube account you could shoot "QuasiMotard" a message. He has tach and gear indicator working on his CT125's OPMID display. Part of the initial programming on the unit is supposed to involve punching in the right settings for the sprocket sizes and gear count on the bike, there's a YouTube video documenting the correct settings for the stock CT125 if those weren't included with your instructions. The stock CT125 gear sensor can only detect neutral, so the OPMID is inferring which gear the motorcycle is in based on engine RPM and vehicle speed. This means it won't be accurate if the motorcycle is stopped in gear, or if you have the shifter clutch depressed by holding down the shift lever.

If it's like the OPMID replacement multimeter, It also assumes you're in the wrong gear if you take off in like... 2nd and the clutch isn't fully engaged, which is kind of annoying. As you slow down, it has a tendency to "stick" in the gear unless it detects a shift, i.e. if you're slowing down in 3rd, and the centrifugal clutch takes over, it won't start displaying 1, it stays in 3.

Apart from the slight annoyance of occasionally misrepresenting which gear you're taking off in, it's one of my favorite modifications.

As I recall from the instructions there is a stage in the installation where there is an option to set up for the Monkey or CT125 - maybe another look through the paperwork?
