The above mention of Steady Garage led me to their web site....ordered the OPMID gauge this morning...just got notification that it has been shipped with 2 day shipping. Oh, and shipping is free. Sweet!

Watching and waiting to hear on this install you all are doing. Look forward to hearing how much this improves bike and how easy it really is to "plug n play" install .

IMHO, it's the best mod I have made to my CT125. Take a look at the video. You'll see that this is pretty much a plug n play, you just have to pull a couple plastic bits as well as the headlight bucket. Nothing to cut, solder, or fabricate. The only thing I'd want changed is to get rid of some of the excess wiring. After you get the OPMID setup you'll finally have a speedo that is accurate, a gauge you can actually read in the sun, and more info about how the bike is running. The gear indicator is nice but it's not 100% accurate since the gauge is having to infer what gear you are in. Still better than no gear indication at all.

Be sure you do not order the M1205 part, it's not required on our bikes. I have zero idea why it's listed on the OPMID website as needed.
You can completely remove the existing speedo mount bracket and replace it with the Opmid centering bracket. Of course you loose the charging port mount but could easily mount an aftermarket USB style one elsewhere. It’s a fiddly install requiring remounting the two handlebar switch connecting blocks neatly to the inside of the large red headlight bracket and slight bending of the throttle cable holding bracket to release the cables from the original part. You also need to remove and re-use the rubber mounting grommets from the factory part. The centering bracket comes nicely galvanised but it’s easy to rattle-can, plasti-dip or even powder coat it satin black before installing.
The centered Opmid meter now looks super clean and shows off the sculpted rear aspect of the headlight shell nicely. I guess I like the simpler, vintage dirt bike vibe it gives more than the modern gadget-laden look of smart phones and sat nav on my bars. ‘Though lighting your cigar while stopped at the lights would be very McQueen ;-)

A couple of instal tips are:
Be careful removing the small hose clamp screws on the air intake tube. I stripped one out and now need a new clamp but applied a stout zip tie for a quick fix. Some penetrating lube to soak them first might help;
Consider a dab of blue thread lock on the two upside-down allen head screws holding the new mounting bracket to the ignition switch frame;
Release the upper bolt from the right side plastic frame cover to allow much better access to the coil wires (thanks to Spydie for that one).
