other bikes i currently own:

99 and 2000 kawasaki concours's .. red one was bought as a part bike but well...

'14 cb1100. shield removed since. buzzed, drove me nuts.

14 gladius i lowered a LOT for Angie to ride. theft recovery bike. 'pigpen'

67 C2TR 1900 original miles.

14 grom with suzuki LT250R motor. Bought new. Long story.

'Barney' 1970 R5. very early model, ser #2000. stock except shocks and elec igntion. now has stock length forks. LOVE this bike.

72 R5C with 6 speed rd trans, pipelyne chambers and early XS disc forks and rd wheel.

1972 suzuki T500. dead stock except bars & gauges. was basket case i got from FLA in '17

71 kawasaki G3ss with kriedler road race faring, clip ons, rearsets, and CR85 motor. dynoed at 19.9 at rear wheel. its a riot. ONLY bike i currently have that needs repair. (rod bearing)

my lightweight RD350. way, way too much to list, but has a custom 4130 'foale' style frame i designed. Nothing is stock on this, including motor. around 50 RWHP. wet weight is 243 lbs, fully fueled ready to ride. a LOT of titanium fasteners and 4 years of work .

lastly, my 74(?) rd hybrid. canadian LC (4l0) cyls grafted to an ac lower ed on a 74 frame., way too much to list again. this ones super nasty for a 350.

and yes, I ride all of them.

Ive had triples as well, ducatis, etc, but this is the current collection. I also tend to hang onto stuff.. sometimes too long.

the trail will fit in as the 'practical' bike for town. :D

Nice collection. I was going to ask about the Grom, but since you mentioned you designed a motorcycle frame, I'm sure you have the engineering chops to put a 250 into a Grom. Well done!

Very cool collection. I wish my buddy would join this forum. He has a world class collection of vintage Mini Hondas. What I have is listed in the signature. I’m more of a car guy to be honest. Here’s a few of what I have.

My very first "classic" car was a 61 Galaxie Tudor with a 390. Always had soft spot for the big 60's Fords. I like to see your trunk full of fun stuff. Here's the Buick's trunk.

big fan of the 60’s big Fords. My first “classic” was a ‘61 Galaxies Tudor with a 390. Like to see your trunk full of goodies. Got the same thing going in the Wildcat.

dug this up the other day somebody else was asking for it. heres a vid of the grom with the suzuki 2t in it. The blue gauge is water temp, has been swapped to an opmid bar mount water temp gauge. yes, tach and speedo are stock units, as is most of wiring harness.

on that note, figured id put up some build pics of this project it was one of the more fun ones ive done.

believe it or not, i didnt mod the frame except to ad a lug up front and trim a center mount here and there. most swapped ones are cut up to death. . this is actually reversible if need be. (which it wont be)

laser cut rear adapter plates:

this actually , when i remove the front mount, lets me swing the motor down and acess the head and jug with the motor in the bike.

frame differences aren't that great from CT to the Grom.

had to move the water neck on the aftermarket CR125 radiators to not interfere with the forks

stock LT250 pipes mocked and tacked up. radiators also mounted here beleive it or not, i lost 1/8" ground clearance over the stock steup, but the bike is a bit taller due tot eh racetech sprigs, so its better than stock to stock. and will hit the LH peg before the pipe in a sharp turn. (ask how i know :p) i went back over all of this with the tig torch and filler rod weave welded all the seams up. nice and clean now.

this is it during run in w body panels off. note the return of the stock footpegs and brackets. this was nec to help clear the kickstand and pipe.

this is one shows the carb placement. had to get super creative with the intake and air filter. also using a different fuel valve now (obviously).

its been remarkably reliable and is super easy to ride. the quad motor is a mid to low rpm motor so isn't super peaky like a motocrosser, will do 85-90 mph. (yes it stable at speed). gets about 36-38 mpg which in general kinda sucks. Im working on an expanded fuel tank now.

and yes, i did all my own work. this is just what i like to do in my spare time :)

Wish I had your mechanical skills. I can buff a car, swap out a lens, and write checks. That's about it.

thanks. I've done more complex projects before. one of my faves was a 1st get ninja 250 with an rd350 motor in it behind the stock bodywork. man that one was a damn riot. Keep in mind i'm a mechanical Engineer by trade, but was an mechanic before going back to college, and have machining and fab experience as well. which has all served me well in my hobbies. and work too, but mostly my projects. :ROFLMAO: I even rebuild my own crankshafts on the 2 strokes, twins and triples included.
However, I refuse to change a motorcycle tire. I literally threw my tire irons away when i graduated college. I -loathe- changing tires.
