I think it's more about economies of scale there. NZ doesn't often get things made specifically for their market because it's so small, they instead get imports that were built for other markets but made available in a somewhat more official pipeline. In the case of Honda Power sports, Blue Wing Honda are the importer and they fit the bikes specific to NZ locally after arrival.

I've stated here and other places many times that yellow is at the top of my list. If it makes it to the USA my green 2023 (which I do like, just not nearly as much as yellow) will get a new home!

The Honda General Service Manual includes specialty procedure and any required specialty tools for major repair jobs outside of regular maintenance.

Even though its not written for specific for a certain Bike. It teaches you Specialty Repair Procedures and the "Honda WAY of Repair that their Engineers have used Tried and True.

I updated the original post to include some of the JA55 & JA65 differences, but some of the less obvious differences are documented here:
Note that the kill switch elimination, side reflector elimination, and rear carrier attachment points are region specific.

Updated the original post to include a link to the USA 2024 Trail125 Owner's manual found on https://powersports.honda.com/downloads/owners-manuals
Compared to the 2023 owner's manual changes are minimal since it is the same JA65 model.
  1. 2023 year references replaced with 2024
  2. Battery section was updated to identify the crossed out trash bin symbol "This symbol on the battery means that this product must not be treated as household waste."
  3. Tire Service Life section example Tire Identification Number updated from using a 2022 tire code example to a 2023 tire code example
  4. Honda Contacts section updated the Post Mail address of Powersports Customer Relations from a P.O. Box in Torrance, CA to a customer relations office address in Alpharetta, GA
  5. Specifications - Main Components section has a new footnote "Displacement less than 9.2 cu-in (150 cm 3) may have highway operating restrictions depending on state laws."

Owner's Manual: A booklet that is included with the purchase of a new Honda Trail 125. The Owner's Manual may be located inside the black toolbox located on the left side of the bike below the rear carrier rack. A hex key for opening the tool box can be found clipped to the top of the fuel tank under the seat.
Service Manual: Manual that covers service, maintenance, and repair of the motorcycle. It is vehicle specific and will refer you to a Honda Common Service Manual for procedures and concepts that are not specific to the Honda Trail.
Parts Catalog: Contains parts diagrams and lists part numbers. Be aware that some part numbers may be superseded, meaning the part has changed since the production of the motorcycle and/or publishing of the parts catalog, and a new part number has replaced it. The parts catalog is also referred to as a parts fiche.

Just got my 2020 CT and love it! Does anyone know where I can get (prefer a download) an Owners Manual for a 2020. I can see the manual for a 2021 model, but the speedo is not the same.
Thanks.

What market (country) was your 2020 sold in, and what is the 10th character of the VIN? L will be a 2020 model, M will be a 2021 model even if it was manufactured and sold in 2020. I'd be interested to know if it's actually a 2020 model year. If it is, the same owners manual should apply as for the 2021-2022 JA55 though there could have been some early production change as parts were superseded. Could you describe the difference in the speedometer? For buying a 2020 used, it is possible that a prior owner installed an aftermarket speedometer. The OPMID one is quite common, there are also Takegawa and Koso units that have been installed on CT125s.
