I have fairly low hopes in the longevity of this application (fear the shield will see heats that will chip away the coating/leaving it a mess) as the applicator said it’s not rated for 300°F+ (I don’t even know how hot these things get since I just bought it in October and have it sitting in shop over the winter, from all the reading I’ve done hopefully the stocker doesn’t get hot enough to burn)
But for the $92CAD I spent on the coat job don’t mind being the test dummy at all.
Photos don’t do it justice but in direct light I think it looks pretty good.
Metallic Raspberry Candy Paint.
Guess we’ll see how she holds up this summer.

Will you also match the engine guards and skid plate?
I’m highly considering it ahah, I kinda wanted to find an aftermarket bare metal skid plate that’s a bit more substantial than oem then go for it. But might just rock stock till it warrants replacement (which it probably never will). Still got lots of -20° winter to get through for modding around till I get to summer and want to stop tinkering and start riding lol

Thank god man, I been going back and forth just worried if it was all going to go to shit or not. Now my nerves about it are definitely settled.
Ya, no worries. I have powdercoated dozens of bike parts over the years. The rest of the bike starts tarnishing long before the powdercoated bits.

The heat shields on these bikes stay so low temperature you can touch them with your bare hand after riding for an hour in the summer. Not going to be an issue.
