Which dealer? I’ve called most dealers near me in So Cal and they’re either booked for waiting list or doing first come first serve.Hi all, long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I'm excited to be a part of the group! Although I'm still in the shopping stage of Trail 125 ownership!
Walked into my local dealer in So.Cal. yesterday expecting to just put my name on a waiting list and to my surprise they had a Trail 125 on the floor ready to go! I had the Salesman do a work-up to get me an OTD price, and I began regretting not bringing my P/U truck with me. OTD Price was $6,300 which from following this site I knew was high, though most things in So.Cal. are higher-priced then other places. I offered $6K cash, said I could have the $$ (and a truck with an open bed) in 30 minutes. Salesman said he wasn't moving off the price as he knew he could sell it in 24 hours to someone else at that price.
I hate walking on a deal, however as much as I 'want' a new Trail (and have a ride coming-up which it would be perfect for) I just wasn't willing to pay that much of a premium for one.
I'm going to check some other dealers local to me, I'm okay with waiting or traveling out of state if need-be.
Don’t go run off and pay $6,300…Which dealer? I’ve called most dealers near me in So Cal and they’re either booked for waiting list or doing first come first serve.
Haha I won’t, that’s too much. Two of the places I have deposits at are saying delivery in mid June so hoping that’s true.Don’t go run off and pay $6,300…
TAX,TITLE,TAGS? Offer $4500 cash, then walk.I got a quote on a New Honda Trail 125 - $3,899 PLUS $1,298 for freight and set up. That seemed high to me... Thoughts?
Good deal.$5,115 tax, title, out the door with a full tank of gas yesterday. Chicago area.
That's about $1,000 too high. I'm glad you didn't pay the greedy guy. He probably went through several names on his waiting list with that price.Hi all, long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I'm excited to be a part of the group! Although I'm still in the shopping stage of Trail 125 ownership!
