I'm still on the hunt but haven't been able to find any for less then $6K OTD here in So.Cal. I've even started to expand my search to AZ and NV but either can't find any or seem to find dealers which are gouging just as bad as here in So.Cal.

I had the same issue a few years ago when the Grom came-out. I wanted one and all the dealers were up-charging the heck out of them. I waited 1.5 years and eventually bought a new one for MSRP. The difference is with the Grom I think Honda was honestly trying to get as many out to their dealers as they could whereas the Trail (in my un-educated opinion) seems to be released at a more calculated pace, for whatever reason.

Cali folks can try Gilroy Motorcycle Center in Nor Cal. The just had four come in (mine was one of them) but they were fairly priced for CA. $5796 OTD

Just got mine a few days back, 5100.00 otd. Seems a few shipments have come in to a few places around me. There are still a few left as of this morning if you are taking a trip somewhere around Houston, Tx.
Nothing close to that price applies if you are going to Austin.

So I just started looking seriously this week it will be my first "motorcycle". I'm a mountain biker but not getting out like I used too and crave some two wheel fun. I'm in NM and found several dealers in Colorado and Arizona that had some in stock. Most seemed to be around 5200-6k out the door. I called a semi local dealer two hours away which just got three in. They said 5500 out the door but I balked and said I could get it in AZ for 5200 so they came back with 5350 OTD. I think I'm going to do it bummed I just missed out on one in Colorado that was around 4700.

Welcome to the forum!

The prices for these bikes are crazy! I've been looking as well for the past six months or so and have gotten quotes as high as $6,500 here in So.Cal. I eventually found and agreed to buy a year-old Trail from a member on this site, however it has title issues which I'm waiting on the PO to get sorted-out. Depending on how that goes (and how long it takes) my quest for a Trail may not have ended just yet!

Good luck in your search! I'll bet there are a lot of great trails there in NM!

Just picked her up and ended up being cheaper then what they quoted me on the phone. 5075 OTD plus tax and title. They got one left at Zia Powersports.

Congrats, you got a good deal. I'm sure you'll have a blast with it. Try not to smile too much when you're riding it.

Good price, enjoy the crap out of it!

Thanks! First motorcycle and just took her for a brief spin around the house. Coming the biking world the braking and throttle feel so weird. Going to take some time to get used too. Will play some more tomorrow.

Austin Texas here. I just made a deal for one in the DFW metroplex ~5600 includes 500ish TTL. I got a wild hare and called all around. They had one at Russellville (~4800, but no TTL) that was lower, but also +200 miles farther out. So calculating in the extra time on the road, gas and hotel. the DFW deal made sense. I like the guys at Russellville, that is where I got my Africa Twin.

I got a quote on a New Honda Trail 125 - $3,899 PLUS $1,298 for freight and set up. That seemed high to me... Thoughts?
I had to pay close to 7k in total for mine and yes it was bone stock then after they added in all their so called dealership fees and everything, kinda feels like I got screwed but eeeehhhh whatever I got mine.

New guy here. My quotes are all over the place here in NC. Where might a dealership be in NC that isn't charging so many crazy high add-on fees?

BTW very educational group here. :)

Click on the link below then select open link. Plug in your zip code and how many miles you're willing to travel to pick it up. Then hit search and you'll see all that are out there. I just entered "North Carolina" and there were 21 listed. Some don't include their price (probably high), a few were above MSRP, and 15 of the 21 were at MSRP. Good luck.
