I found this kit on Amazon and decided to give it a try as it showed to be compatible with the Honda Trail/Hunter Cub 125 (2019-2023). It's a pre-wired harness with matching connections that clips in in-line of the current harness behind the headlight, so there's no need to wire it direct to the battery or add an in-line fuse as it works with the keyed accessory power. Unfortunately it looks to be unavailable at the moment on Amazon but I got mine installed and it works as advertised for those interested in an option like this.

If you don’t mind can you show where this plugs in?

It's all behind the headlight, unfortunately I didn't take any pics of this when I installed mine. The kit comes with detailed instructions showing you where it all needs to go.

And I guess to take advantage of the USB-C PD (Power Delivery) feature one will need the correct Apple USB-C to Lightning cable

Yea, they will be in the box when you receive it. It lists this in the ad.

Yes, or any android phone or other device that uses a USB-C charger. It works well, I have been very happy with it.

The instructions show that it plugs in to the connection for the ignition switch (large 3-pin black connector), and the left turn signal light (small 2-pin orange connector) probably using the ground.
Looks like a nice setup compatible with the USA model, thanks for sharing.

I finished installing this earlier today and it works great, but I now have a check engine light. Any idea on how to clear it?

Was the battery connected when you installed it? You could try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 15+ minutes to reset the CEL. If it returns there may be a short circuit.

I did not disconnect the vmbattery, lazy mistake on my part. I'll give it a try and update.

Just finished installing new USB Adapter port. After installing, I noticed the bright lights no longer worked. Take it back apart, double check all the connections. No joy. Unhook and re-connect factory harness. No joy. Several profanities ensue. Decided since I had no bright lights, I would prefer the working the charger port. So, I swapped the wires back to the adapter harness. Started the bike and learned that the brights only work when the engine is running. o_Oo_O

So what's the best way to deal with the phone charger cord?
