Curious as to what you use and would suggest for luggage tie downs on the Trail 125. I am doing a few day moto adventure in a few months and would like to hear your thoughts.
I will be securing a tent, and probably a dry-bag for clothes to the bike's rack. Also have my luggage box too that is already on there.
Would you suggest Rok Straps, Cam Buckles, or something else.
Thanks in advance!

I use Voile straps for most things.

they work great and i feel more secure than cam buckle type tie downs.

I have been using ROK Straps regularly on motorcycles since ~2016 without issue. Even UV faded and with years of sun exposure and tens of thousands of miles, they've held up. In those situations they're keeping items from sliding or bouncing around, I'd probably want a more rigid system if they were being used to hold up/suspend an item. I like that they're relatively quick to fasten and unfasten, and the adjustability. Sometimes I pair them with a cargo net so I'll have the ROK straps holding down a duffle bag, then I'll have a cargo net over it all and keep quick access items in there (a jacket, grocery bag with snacks).

Sixty years ago I used my mother's used clothesline to tie gear to my Honda Cub. Then came bungees. Many years later came the Rok Strap, for the win. Still the best thing out there. Extreme duty nylon straps with cam buckles are for tying down a bike to the pickup bed or trailer.

I use the narrow Roc Strap for support in tying a light duffel to a Gold Wing rear seat and trunk. The wide version is used for any thing more exposed and less supported, Trail 125 rack.

This might be the river rat in me talking, but I’m personally a huge fan of cam straps. NRS straps are cheap and last for-freaking-ever!

Just wanted to report back that the rok straps did great on our trip. No issues whatsoever. My buddy used my 1980 XS-400 and used 3 of the largest straps to secure his 65L hiking bag to the sissy bar.
I used the medium size to secure my sleeping bag and tent to the rack (in front of hard case) and 2 of the small to secure my dry bag with clothes on top of the hard case.
550 miles roughly, with 20 miles on gravel. Would highly suggest getting. The $30/set was well worth the piece of mind and security I had knowing none of the gear was shifting.
