Is anyone else getting ready to cut the offending raised horizontal bar off from the front of their shiny red, rock solid luggage rack?

I am 6'1" my tail bone was always sore from riding. I cut the bar off and it is much better now. The bar serves no purpose in my opinion. My bike is tan with a black luggage rack (Thailand), so after I cut it off I filled the holes with black silicon. Happy rider now.

A lot of people on another CT125 site have. What idiot thought it was a good idea to even put it on the rack. The CT90's and CT110's didn't have that bar.

Yep, my old CT90's and 110's had a bar on the rear of the rack.

Will the hole pattern allow you to rotate it 180 degrees so the bar is at the rear? That would be a useful location depending on your case. Or way worse!

If you decide you want to undo it, you can buy a new one here. I say go for it.
CARRIER, LUGGAGE *R354* (GLOWING RED) [81200-K2E-T00ZA] snapshot price today of ~$280.

I use mine all the time, so I'm keeping it. It's how I lift the bike and move it around in ways that Honda absolutely does not recommend. I'm Team Pool Noodle.

I've since learned that putting my weight into stepping on the center stand moves it most of the way onto the stand where I can guide it there without using the rack's grab handle, but I'm still using the handle to tie things down regularly, and it seems like a good spot to lift the bike from in case of a tip-over.

The grab handle hasn’t been much of an issue for me, but I’ve been researching seats and found the K&H high seat on WeBike Japan. It adds 20mm height which sounds appealing, and is described as not altering straddle height because of the shape of the forward part of the saddle. Perhaps it will also put you above the grab handle while giving you more leg room. Looks like a really nice seat.

Have you figured out how to order it? The order options I tried result in a "this item is discontinued" message.
