Sight glass purpose

Is it time for a new air filter? 2200 miles

It would be worth pulling the filter itself to check. The air cleaner divides the airbox and has that small drain hose on the unfiltered side, and the sight glass on the filtered side. Anything in that sight glass, dirt or water, means it got through OR around the filter and potentially made its way into the engine. When you pull the air cleaner you may also want to check the reusable gasket on the airbox to make sure it's sealing properly.

The maintenance schedule for the air cleaner is 12,000 miles or more frequently when riding in unusually wet or dusty areas..

not nec a wet filter. condensation will settle and pool there. also oil if you have blowby, they have had those for many years on bikes.
